  1. I was trying to win this auction but I had to work, so now I need to find another one of these patches...... item number 7230391050 or http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7230391050&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Fcgiurl%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fcgi.ebay.com%252Fws%252F%26fkr%3D1%26from%3DR8%26satitle%3D%2B7230391050%26category0%3D%26fvi%3D1 if any one has one or knows where I can get one please let me know just pm me or call me 308-325-6445, I was also wondering if anyone had that bigger patch that mat73 has on the back of the jacket. I just need one that is kinda big, if anyone has anything you think i might like please let me know!!!! Thanks
  2. I am putting a 350sbc in my car and eventually the banks twin turbo set up. I am looking for a suspension set up that would be best for racing and the occasional street drive. I literally have no idea about any of them. I have read about some, and these on ebay but still i am clueless. any suggestions for an agressive set??
  3. LOL I have a set of those rims I'm going to be getting rid of this summer if some one wants them, shoot me an offer!
  4. I have this same cell from summit 15 gal. I see you mounted the brackets to the bottom of your cage and not sitting on top. Hows that working for you?? I bet it would save a couple inches in hight. Please get back to me or pm i would like to talk to you!
  5. One more thing, i watch speed channel like 24/7 and I don't know if you guys have watched the show where the skyline, VW, and cobalt are going up against each other, but anyway on the skyline they went and spot welded more where the body panels meet. You know how there are the factory spot welds every inch or so, well they made a ton more welds and said that would help alot! wonder if it really would be that big of a deal and if it would help me?
  6. I plan on just mainly an occational driver, you know the kind you take out and if some corvette pulls up to you at the light you can toast him!! no drag racing really, i think it would be hard to get the tires to bite real good.. I want to try some autocross, and maybe some racing on the track. But i don't want to make like a zillion ponies so that its not reliable enough to drive, you know what i mean. I forget to mention I have replaced the rockers, floors, floor supports, and front frame rails, the frame rails were not bad but i figured might as well get her done to while the engine is out and i'm doing things!
  7. LOL i'm being conservative!!LOL It will probably end up being more like 800hp if i go twin turbos, if not then 500 is about right!
  8. Ok so my cousin got back from boot camp, the one who went to wyo tech for high performace engines and turbo deisels. Sounds like on my '72 240z that we are doing a 350sbc swap with a turbo or maybe even twin turbos. My question is where would you guys strengthen the car and how? I'm having an 8 point rolecage put in along with front and rear sway bars with v links on the front bar, but with around 500 hp I'm not sure thats enough?! Just thinking of adding some support bars, to hold her together, if you have any suggestions where to put them please let me know. I'm not real sure where the weakest portions of the z's are. Thanks alot guys
  9. and time and i have neither!!LOL
  10. Ya i had to buy one of my z's for $450 and then i bought a better one that was actually cheaper for 400, i have all new panels and floors etc. which cost me about $2000 now it is in the body shop i'm having everything installed, all rust taken off, all of the side markers, gas lid, vent, rear bumper and all the holes and dips back there filled in so it will be one smooth car!!!! thats going to cost me about 2 g's more. I have the 350sbc 4 bolt, bare block ready for work, but i will work on the car first i think, get it all done roll cage breaks tires rims, dash, i'd say i have about $10,000 left in just that! its so depressing!!!!then the engine when i get all the body work done i'll prob end up going twin turbo but who knows?? and hey there are actually alot of turbo z's out there. anyway i have years and year till i will have her done!! i'm going to do it all right the first time nothing half ***, so it will take twice as long but it will be twice as good!!!LOL i think this summer i will get alot done. Between my 2 jobs, i should get alot of hours and more money!!! LOL i worked about 80hrs a week last summer just to get money for body panels and now with my second job i figure I can work 105 hours a week if i can physically take it for a few weeks, that should buy me a turbo or two at least!!
  11. Alf, i'm not sure what it will be like. I am a college student trying to pay bills and take classes and with the spare money i work on my cars. so it will be a slow process. but there is a place a few miles from where I live here in nebraska that builds engines, they are one of the top in the nation. i'm going to go there maybe over christmas break and ask some questions on how to set it up and what goes with what and what would be the best. i figure i'll let the pros tell me what to use so i dont mess anything up. but in general, less is more to me, battery in back, electric fuel pumps off of the fuel cell which will also both be mounted in back, electric fans, electric water pump, and so on. the less belts that I see the better i like it!!! i like it simple and clean with lots of power. othere than that i'll have to wait to see what the guys say.
  12. ALF, I am totally doing the exact same thing you are doing. mine is a 72 240z I have the same questions you have! and also i want around 500hp just like you. any info on what to go with would be great! oh and my cousin that went to wyo tech for high performace engines and turbo diesels just got back home from boot camp yesterday so i'll hit him up on what to do over christmas break for you! but if you hear anything or have any ideas let me know also thanks!!!!
  13. Sorry if I sounded too cocky - I'm just pretty pumped by the results.  When you have it that good you can be cockY!!!!!! frankly I would be upset if you weren't!!LOL
  14. LOL Oh and the little orange one with the two glowing eyes, is my 8lb hellfire missle with heat seeking feet detectors, and also equiped with titanium eversharp claws!!LOL
