  1. I'm definitely going speedhut route. Since prices are around the same(as Autometer) might as well get what you want that works for you. I personally like the GPS ones with integrated turn signals. Maybe the reverse sweep for that 427 action choices choices... Since you are wiring from scratch, how has that ez wiringkit worked for you so far? Did it come with a fuse panel as well?
  2. Awesome thread so far 5thgen. Thanks in advance for part numbers, the details, and helping me wrap my brain around the little bits involved with such a swap. I'm a luder as well with a turbo kit and your time-line with your Z is almost the same as mine. Fortunately you have a Z body that's in decent shape and looks to have lived a good life. I'm taking mine in for sandblasting and the Z might disappear. Good luck with your build and seems you got your head on right.
  3. Thanks dwarlick for posting your honest opinion on a thread that I'm sure has been beat to death. Then brought back to life to only be beaten again. That's what I wanted to hear instead of just HP numbers and which engine has stronger hardware. Sounds like the RB25 gives you a decent grin factor per dollar ratio. However deep in my heart, when I take the '71 out to a late night lot meet, some armchair mechanic is going to ask, "Why not the GTR engine?"...
  4. Looks like a good install. Loved the seats in my S and look forward to installing them in the Z. Might get crazy and get the speaker kit that installs to the headrest. I'm replacing rusted floorpans and seat brackets anyways so I'm not too worried about height. I plan on modifying the Honda brackets as read above but, do the aftermarket seat brackets sit any better or install cleaner ?
