  1. I am looking to trade my 97 Cobra for the right v8 240/260. I would also consider a 280 if it wasn't a ZX. My email is kabooki_13@yahoo.com. I am not on the forums much so this would be a good place to reach me. The Cobra is in Wichita Falls, Tx. I would also consider a Z and some cash if the condition reflected it. 97 Cobra 130k #1054 Everything works (A/C needs a charge) AJE K member Lakewood 90/10 struts D&D coil overs UPR caster/ camber plates Sub frame connectors Upper/ lower control arms TKO 600 transmission Custom clutch Built rear end 31 spline diff. FRPP 4.30 gears Lakewood rear shocks UPR solid motor mounts Bassani ceramic mid length headers Bassani catted X pipe Steeda race mufflers MSD plug wires Less than 2k miles on new plugs 255 Walbro fuel pump Screamin demon coil packs C L mass air meter and inlet tube ASP under drive pulleys New Sumitomo 315/10.5s in the rear Lightweight race seats Clear coat was an issue in 97 and could use touch ups on the roof and around the bottom ground effects, as well as the passenger door.
  2. Wow, I had heard that they are far superior to my stock flat tops...hmmm. maybe I will hold off on them. Anyone else got any testimonials or know if they are hard to sync??
  3. Like I said, this is not a flame fest. I am new to owning a z. I didnt know there were specific forums dedicated to electronics, also, I was not notified that there were few 260 owners on this site. I dont know whether or not my electronics are different due to the fact that I found out I had a 240 engine (which is in the sig btw) The mustang board is not set up like this one, so, sorry for the inconvienience, if I had been told when I posted it what forum to post in, I would have "acted accordingly". Realize that guys that are used to domestic engines are sometimes starting over when dealing with an import. Especially one that is 30 years old. As far as I am concerned, the topic is closed. I will try to post in the right forums, and I am sorry for hijacking this thread.
  4. I know, but I am glad someone is willing to help with his question, maybe I can learn something.
  5. I wish I could help you, but I can't even find out what mine is.....and don't expect an answer right away here BTW, very few seem willing to help, even if you try the search first.
  6. Very simple, will coil springs from a 280zx turbo fit my 260, or will it raise the back too much?? Thanks!
  7. Im new to the z world and have a problem I cant figure out. This is prob. easy for some of you. My brake lights work fine, but my tail lights do not come on when I turn on the head lights, signals more or less work too. My turn signals work but they seem to have to warm up!! They come on kind of dim, and then they get brighter. I figure that this is a wiring problem, but I cant figure it out. the bulbs are good and the fuses are ok. Liscence plate lights are also not working . Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  8. Well, this is different, I have always owned mustangs and have also wanted a z my whole life. I finally picked up a 74 260 and it is in pretty good shape. I realize that these are down on power from the other models, but I hope to change that little by little. I guess I have the common newbie questions: will it be hard to fix my dashlights. (they come on and go off when they want). Did a search on the fumes coming in, found some good stuff. Is there anything I need to know that is specific to the 74 that I need to watch out for. I realize that these are just like the questions I read on the mustang boards concerning what gears to use and whats the best mod, etc. So be gentle!!
