  1. Hi, I have a TT swap underway and am swapping my NA R200V rear for a Q45 (97-01) R200v. The only thing that needs to be changed is the input shaft, but I get 3.69 gearing that is the TT gears. However, I actually want to go taller. Boosting around 16 creates an uncontrollable mess. Plus 1st and 2nd gear are way too short, as everyone says "third gear is the sweet spot." In looking at different R200v short nose diffs, the Z33 automatic (Pre-07)are interesting. The gearing is even taller at 3.357 and I think it would bring my "sweetspot" back into the 1st and 2nd gear range. I can't find any information on the input or output shafts for these diffs. Does anyone know if the output shafts are the same length, bolt count (5 bolt) as the R200v in the Z32? I am hoping to swap my output shafts and input shaft to this rear end, get taller gearing, and more usable power. Thanks.
  2. Agreed on all points. The differences is the 90-96 Q45 R200V is a 6 bolt output shaft, 3.54 ratio, the 97-2001 Q45 R200V is a 5 bolt shaft, 3.69 ratio (same as the TT). For a Z32, two ways to adapt, drill the input shaft with holes that fit the Z32 axle or swap the input shafts.
