The 87 sensor is in the speedo output on the transmission, Its on the 87 trans, I used a 84-84 inst cluster and cable.I did not like the orange gauges, so I installed a white/silver face.

I could be anything, If your going to throw parts at it, I would go for the distub, Thats my 2cents
