  1. This is the turbo that I was thinking of Garrett GT30/40R Internally Wastegated Turbocharger Ball Bearing. Watercooled. Turbine Housing: 1.06a/r. Compressor Housing: 0.70a/r. Internally Wastegated. Rated: 600hp. Flange: T3
  2. Thanks for the info. I am concerned about the power and keeping the car under control. I think from memory I am running the 3.9 R200 LSD, but it might be the 4.1. I will have to check as I havent really looked at the Zed in over 4 years since I have spent all my time on doing up a house. I am not a power freak, looking for the best dyno figures like some do. I just want it to be fast, if that means making less power to have more control, then thats fine with me. What other tips do you have when running the RB30. What size tyres are you running as this may help me with traction if I go a bigger size. Anthony
  3. Its a 260Z brake booster as they are a lot bigger than the 240Z ones. Calipers are 4 spot R33 with braided lines.
  4. Yeah, any advice would be great as I am still tossing up the ideas for which Turbo as its now the RB30 it will have better tourque and I want the car for track work and targa type events so I want the car to have power right the way through. Don't really want it coming on all of a sudden.
  5. Thanks guys for the comments. I have a local Auto shop doing the work, Ricol Automotive. Great bunch of guys, very up on Nissan stuff and great with fab work. I originally was goinf for the RB25, but went the RB30 as it will give me a lot more torque and will allow a bigger band of power with the correct match turbo. Will get more pics and update as soon as I can Sooley
  6. Hi All Well this is the year. I have been working on my 1972 240Z for 4 years now and am now ready THIS YEAR to finish it off. Over the last 4 years I have fully renoed a house, got married and had a baby girl, so now its time for the Zed to be finished. My car is a ground up rebuild. The entire car is being done from top to bottom. So far I have bead blasted the whole car, replaced both door skins, new floor pans, new dog legs, new fibre glass front gaurds, and rear hatch, replaced the roof (to get rid of the pop up sunroof). I have Replaced the suspension with Bilstein Coilovers and have adjustable front and rear control arms and radius rods. I have updated the front brakes to Skyline calipers on the front and discs on the rear also. I am running an R200 LSD with CV's and will run custom sway bars. Also running an MX5 (Miata) power steering rack. The engine is an RB30 with an RB25 head. I am still decideing at this stage as to which Turbo to run. The motor has CP forge's a custom sump holding 8 litres. Custom fuel system, Greddy plenum with Q45 throttle body. Running brand new RB25 turbo box with Nismo clutch and fly wheel. I am running a Haltech E11V2 ECU with a Haltech Dash. Interior is complete dash and centre console from a Silvia S15 with Cobra racing seats and Willian Harnesses. full cage and custom carpets and trim. Her are some pics of my journey so far.
  7. Where do you get the ZG style bonet vents, the rectangular style ones Thanks
  8. So am I, very keen on a kit if you can make one up again. PLEASE TOO!
  9. Hi All Well taking 4 years to build my 240Z means that I have plenty of time to change my mind in regards to what the heck I am doing. So this time I have decided to change the interior style of my project. I have a Right Hand Drive 240Z dash For Sale. This dash has been COMPLETLEY redone. It has had the holes resized for AUTO METER gauges and has also been trimmed on the sides to suit the roll cage that I had fitted. Basically the dash cost me $750 AU to be totally redone and I am giving it away at $300. If your keen send a message or give me a call on 0419 044 472 Anthony
  10. Just type in RB30 on a search engine and you will find something, usually to do with a Holden Commodore VL
  11. Hi all I ahve fitted Nissan 4 spot to the front of my car and think it would make allot more sense to fit the matching Nissan 2 spot at the rear. Anyone know of a fitting kit to suit this type of conversion. Thanks in advance. Sooley
