  1. Looking for: Early 240z Hazard Switch (Says "FLASH" on it) Later 240z Hazard Switch Driver & Passenger window regulators for a '71 240z Thanks, Bill Falls Church, VA
  2. Good evening. If anyone has a set of Stahl 6-2 Round Port headers, I'd be interested in purchasing. I'm looking for something in the 1-5/8" diameter. Can't seem to get the ProFab folks to whom they allegedly sold the line to pick up the phone. Failing that, any suggestions for quality 6-2 headers at a similar diameter are appreciated. Thanks, Bill
  3. Lots of tweaking, still no luck. MSD Claims I forgot to cut a loop on the MSD 6A. I didn't. Any thoughts are appreciated.
  4. My sincere apologies for digging up something so old, but I could use some help. I'm having the same issue as 72_NorCal... Any idea what might cause this? Bad Tach? Bad Connections?
  5. Looking for a 5-speed from a non-turbo '81-83 280ZX. Located in 22042 (Northern VA).
  6. Looking for some round port headers. Something clean, and not Pacesetter/MSA. Looking for something a little different, and seeing if I can't save some money. The next option is Stahl.
  7. Located in Virginia, willing to pay for shipping. Looking for a good condition 4.11 R180 differential. Thank you,
  8. Please see photo attached. Looking for one Enkei Center Cap for these Apache V. Thanks,
  9. Looking for the rear Tokico Illumina shocks for a 280z, in addition to a full set of Tokico springs for the same car. Located in VA. Thanks,
  10. Going to do this over at ClassicZ-Car. The nature of our restoration/project is a bit more fitting. Love HBZ though, I'll still be around. Please disregard (or delete?). Thanks, Bill
  11. I went the cheap option, and I guess this is what I get for doing it. Rather than forking over the money for zTherapy's rebuild kit, I thought I'd hit the jackpot when I found this NOS kit on ebay for ~$25. Clearly states it's for a '69 through 8/'70 240z... Man I'm set. I have a 2/'70 240z. Well, the thing comes, and suprise: it doesn't fit. I'm 99% sure my carbs are the original SU (1-3/4", 0.100in Main Jets). The carb kit looks like it's for 1.5", 0.090" main jets. So it's too small. I'm absolutely baffled. Can anyone shed light on this? On a fun side note, I was re-doing the rear shocks, and bought a set of Monroe's a few weeks ago from Advanced Auto. Went to install them this past weekend, and found out they'd given me 2 different shocks. Went back to exchange the incorrect one, and was suprised to find out that it's not in their stock system anymore. Called Monroe, the shock is on backorder until late October. with my car up on jacks. FML. Might have found an alternate set at Olympus, but damn... Side note #2: Anyone have a spare '79-'81 280zx e80-12 ignition module?
  12. About six months ago I picked up HLS30-01222 (Feb, 1970 date) in Northern VA, and trailered it home (err... also to Northern VA) to begin bringing it back to life. The previous owner had done a good job protecting it, but it hadn't run in about two years. It's pretty damn straight as far as rust goes; floor boards in the footwells have been replaced & covered (I believe). The paint isn't pretty; I was told "it's the original color, but not the original paint job." Having talked to some people (Lets just be clear: zpizzaman20 has been a huge source of information over the last 2 weeks), this probably isn't the original green. On the plus side, it's a real solid project car to start with: Low rust, numbers matching engine (with the correct SU carbs), and the interor is in incredible shape (all things considered). So, what does it need? Lots of stuff. A good amount of parts were missing. Suspension and brakes were shot. Car needed to be tuned... badly. Weather stripping & window gaskets are all shot. We (myself and my Auto Guru ("AG") were able to do plugs/wires/fuel and get it running, but it was rough. So since then, the project has been two fold: 1) Trying to track down the missing parts 2) Trying to get the mechanical aspects hammered out. The AG is back on less than positive circumstances from Afghanistan, so while he's home we've been working on the car a lot. Hence my push to post this. The goal is to get the car put back together this fall, and hopefully have it re-painted over the winter. The time-line isn't critical (getting married next year... I guess I should spend as much on it as I can now...), and the ultimate goal is to have a nice weekend car. I won't race it, we're trying to bring it back to nearly stock condition (no fancy radios or 18" rims); just an enjoyable car. So, I'll be throwing up some photos and happily soliciting advice from the masses over the next 6 months or so. I'll start by adding some photos later tonight/tomorrow. Cheers, Bill
