  1. Founds something I figured all the Mopar guys would like. A company that makes bell housings for small block and big block Mopars. Main to I found interesting was Dodge to t 56 and t5. That now opens up manuals to mopars. Need to scroll down a ways to get to the Mopar stuff. http://www.safepay.net/cgi-bin/shop/cart.cgi?db=mddata.txt&category=bellhousing&merchant=moderndriveline
  2. I've been looking into that combo for a swap into my 74. I believe, but I'm not certain that, you can take the ax-15 geartrain, and use the r-154 mainshaft and tailhousing and blend the two. I know ax-5 and g-52 stuff can swap, not positive on the big brothers. So I think that would solve the flywheel clutch problems. Edit: Sounds like with the 94-99 bell housing, custom friction plate(Otts Friction supply?) and an extended pilot bushing(advanced adapters). Then you'd have the benefit of the 11 inch clutch
  3. So it sounds like I should probably just stick with an L series for now. I don't need anything to fast otherwise I might be tempted to use it in ways that get me in trouble. My only concern is the T5 tranny that goes with the turbos I know there good but unlike all the supra trannies I used to tear apart the T5's were almost always messed up. (worked in a tranny parts warehouse)
  4. I have a bone stock 260 with an engine that needs some attention. I've been looking at swaping to a later model L series or to a toyota just to be different. I'm not looking to build a moster motor or anything. Just something I could jump in to drive to the coast or Reno and have it get me there, and haul *** through corners yada yada. The one thing I haven't been able to find searching is what does it take for motor/tranny mounts to swap in the toyota motor. What kind of chassis reenforcement would I need to do, what kind of weight gain I'd have vs doing a L series build. Also what would the cost comparision be between swapping in the yoda or building the L. I think that about covers it.
