  1. I just sent you a message, thank you
  2. Manual transmission, non-California. The one I had was an A18-603 045, but I'm open to any others that would work. Thanks for looking!
  3. Thanks Tony D, I appreciate it. I'll head the the local bone yard monday and see if I can't find one and wire it in.
  4. Thank you Sir, I appreciate it. I'll check the voltage at the pump. The only problem is that she is running just a bit rich (10.5-11 on wide band at idle) and the issue only manifests at higher rpm under load so i wasn't sure how to go about checking voltage at the pump as the rpm increases. I'm pretty familiar with relays but not nearly as familiar with the ECU, so I wasn't sure if bypassing that fuel pump output would send a bad feedback loop to the ECU and cause something funky to occur, hence my hesitation. That’s a beautiful harness, if I ever go to a megasquirt I’ll definitely look you up and order some of your products. Thank you again.
  5. Howdy yall. I've been having some odd under-fueling issues and I think I've come up with a way to ensure that it's not the pump. I've got '80 NA body with a swapped in '82 L28ET. The motor has been pulling strong and rich since the swap approx 15k miles ago. Recently she's been running really lean, especially at WOT. I'm also getting a distinct pulsing in the fuel lines, especially noticeable at idle and an erratic idle that surges from 250rpm to 800rpm. This also is leading to the engine dying on me whenever I try to come to a stop, such as at a stop light or downshifting for a slow corner. I'm running a Pallnet fuel rail with stock turbo injectors, an aftermarket FPR (Tomei Type-L) and a Walbro 255 pump. I picked up a painless fuel pump relay kit and plan on installing it this weekend. My question is if I will run into any problems tapping into a ignition 12v source as opposed to the signal wire that is currently going to the pump. My thought is that way I will have a cleaner signal and possibly be able to bypass whatever issues are causing the pump to surge. What do you guys think?
  6. I didn't even think to pull the plugs to look at them, I had an older set that I used to test the wires. I swapped in the old plugs and she fired right up. If you're ever down in Texas let me know and the first couple of rounds are on me. Thank you again! Jeramy
  7. I've tried just about every way to start the old gal the past couple of days, and we've had weather form the teens through the 60's. Thank you for the response though
  8. Thanks for the info NewZed, you know I'm not sure if the injectors are firing or not. I'll test light them tonight. Where is the best place to spray in the starting fluid? I've done it on carbed vehicles before but never on an FI one. Another thing I thought of, the two days before she died the idle sounded a little like a car with a heavy cam, kind of lobing over. Thanks for looking everyone.
  9. Howdy all, I've got a little problem with my old girl. She's an 80' n/a originally with an '82 L28ET swapped in. She was running great if just a little rich up until a couple nights ago. She started up fine in the evening but in the morning wouldn't start. She cranks fine but just doesn't catch. AFM cleaned and adjusted, TPS tested good, CHTS from old motor that worked fine. Motor grounds cleaned. ECU green light is steady except goes off when cranking then comes back on. Spark is good from coil and at plugs, visible yellow / orange spark from both. Fuel is hinky, and I'm suspecting that's my problem. Only getting fuel pressure when motor is trying to crank over. Fuel pump is new, fuel filter is new. I removed outlet line from filter and observed fuel flowing when cranking but not in "on" position. Is there a relay somewhere that could the the cause of my issues or something small that I'm overlooking? Thanks for your time, I greatly appreciate it. Jeramy
  10. Howdy yall, well here's my dilemma. I was installing an H4 conversion last night and decided to make up my own upgraded headlight harness using relays. Now I've done this a couple of times before on different vehicles that I've owned so I didn't think that it would be too difficult. The concept is pretty simple, use the stock low beam wire to trip the low beam relay and the high beam for the high beam relay. Pretty simple right? Wrong, at least for me. On the stock plug it appears that when the low beams are triggered two of the wires for the stock plug are hot and one is the ground, while on high beams only one of the aforementioned wires is receiving 12V. Something like this: Low ground _______ xxxxx lxxxxxxxl x +12 lxxxxxxxl +12 xxxxx lxxxxxxxl High ground _______ lxxxxxxxl lxxxxxxxl +12 lxxxxxxxl This is looking at the terminals on the plug, so a reverse of what it would be on the bulb. The ground wire on both sides is brown and the other two are black with some variation of stripes, orange and red and green (I think) So what can I do to actually make a relay harness for this car? As no single wire controls the low and high separately I'm at a bit of a loss. Thanks for your time
  11. looks good! where did you order your suspensions parts from?
