  1. I'll consider almost any 240z - even if it's a full on running and driving Z. Price range is up to 4K. Most important aspects for me are the paint and body.
  2. JGreezy, Can I get a link? Since I'm in the midwest and 240s are rare. My search radius is widening
  3. I'm looking for a 1973 shell - the more stripped the better. If it's been caged to SCCA specs, that'd be great (but not necessary). I'm located in Southern Indiana. I'm wiling to travel a good distance considering there's nothing around here or pay for shipping if the price is low enough.
  4. Just surpassed the 10K mark. This was just supposed to be a "for fun" car/project. I haven't touched the body yet. 73 240 400 SBC bored .060 over / aluminum heads Exhaust Fully powder coated suspension components Brand new 5-way adjustable suspension - right down to the washers. Wheels Seats Floors Trans/ torque converter rebuild R200 CLSD / CV conversion upgraded front disc / rear disc conversions
  5. No wonder I get so many parts from you, you have an impressive Z collection! Can you PM me some pics of those fenders when you get a chance?
  6. I recently pulled the motor that came in my S30. The PO had put 350zz valve covers on but after I ran the casting numbers, it turns out that it's a 400 SBC. Did you build your 406? I'd like to start reading and studying up on SBC building but there seems to be so much out there...it's a bit overwhelming. Got any tips?
  7. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=274113&id=532656229&l=f4b38162b2 It says anyone can follow that link. Sorry, I don't feel like posting them all in this thread. This is just a quick update as to what I've been up to lately. It's a project car my brother and I have been working on. Tociko Illumina 5-way adjustable shocks Eibach lowering springs MSA Sway bar kit AZC differential mounts and bracing Powder coated suspension components New undercoating (3M rubberized coating) Floor pans (made them ourselves) Sub frame connectors (custom job, again) New bearings...all of them. Poly urethane bushings R200 swap 300zx CV shaft conversion The red car is the project car dubbed "Katrina". I'm replacing the quarters because the PO decided to weld on those...vent...things. I have Rota RB's (9 and 9.5 staggered) waiting to go on with ZG flares. I'm going with the 400 SBC. The car is going to be a charcol pearl kind of color (not sure of the actual name) with a carbon hood showing through as the racing stripes. I haven't even started on the body. Future plans: Rotas and ZG flares waiting to go on. Body work (duh!) (you can see the molested Z we used as parts doesn't have quarters anymore) Roll cage Seats 400 SBC (building the one that came in the car)
  8. Thanks, JohnC. Turns out I have a 400 small block. The PO just put on ZZ valve covers. I never knew how to read the engine stampings. Great links!
  9. I bought a 350 swapped 240 and saw ZZ on the valve covers. First and foremost, from what I've read on the internet, ZZ motors are crate engines that put down ~345hp. How can I tell if it's a true ZZ motor? Second, how can I tell which ZZ motor it is?
  10. I just installed some the other day. Same brand and everything. They are a PITA. I used a plastic puddy knife and a rubber mallet to shoe horn them in. (I used plastic and rubber so I wouldn't mess up my powder coating.) Good luck....
  11. That'd be the one. Do you know of one up for grabs?
  12. Well, I thought the yoke I had was going to work. Turns out I was wrong. I need an input yoke from an R200 from a 280z. Anyone parting out a R200? Let me know ASAP! Thanks, Mike Contact: EightOne2 Four5Three SixZeroFive7
  13. Ah, I guess bump steer wasn't the right term. Thanks JM. I'm still learning about suspension and still get confused with some of the terminology.
  14. I assumed it would be a pretty common setup and was wondering if anyone ran into bumpsteer problems. I'd hate to cut into my freshly powder coated strut tubes
  15. I got what I needed, thanks for all the quick responses! HybridZ saves the day again!
