  1. Here is my KA mocked up.. Made my own mounts:
  2. Working on the alternator issue now, havent had time with work so busy lately. I had a used external Vertex but it didnt work, even with a Joe Hunt coil. Need to send it out to get checked out. Nice work bud!
  3. Yup motorplate it is.. As cool as it is, its still a pain in the butt, especially trying to get my alternator set up with the electric water pump. Teaser cell vid: George
  4. No thats a Vertex Magneto ($$) HEIs dont produce enough spark for my application and I will never run another MSD or other electric ignition set ups!!!!!!
  5. Thanks! Video clips to follow this weekend if the rain holds out.
  6. hmmm, hence the dilemna. Any idea what those fusible links were for? They are jumped now any way. Also would like to know for certain which EFI related relays I can ditch. Fuel pump will be rewired to a switch any way, as will the starter. Only wires I need in the engine bay is headlights, turn signals, distributor, coil, and water temp. Maybe the wipers and windshield fluid too . -George
  7. ..still needs some detail work but you get the idea, right? George
  8. Hey fellas, finally starting to work on my 78 280z. I bought the car with the webers already installed. It runs and what not so Im happy with that. I would like to clean up the wiring in the engine bay so what are these on the relay cover? They seem to be hot wires as they are some what thick gauge. They also have jumpers on the back of the black little box. Im also thinking of removing the EFI relays and wires as I do not need them. Though would removing them have anything to do with the ignition? Thanks so much!! -George
  9. Read somewhere that another guy used Sanderson Headers. Stated he used their shortest ones, what ever that means. I havent been able to get in touch with him though. What do you LT1 Z32 guys use? -George
  10. Hi fellas, just joined this forum in hopes of researching for a 383 SBC into my Z32. I was reading around about which headers to use in these cars and only saw one member that used corvette block huggers. I was wondering if there are any long tube type headers that fit without having to much crazy fabrication involved. Im sure of course fab work will be needed as this is a very uncommon swap, but are there any decent headers (1 3/4 primaries) that fit remotely close. Thanks! George
