  1. Got the block and head back, cylinders look perfect... head looks great. I'll have it assembled next week. Also.. going to paint the block, valve cover, timing cover and oil pan red.
  2. I was going to use the stock turbo one, at least for now.
  3. Bought a new water pump, new gaskets, piston rings and bearings in prep for the swap, 350$. Have my turbo rebuild kit on the way, going to look at buying my wideband o2 sensor.
  4. Radiator broke.. Friend had a spare s130 radiator... Was too narrow and too tall so i did some drilling and made it fit.
  5. Yeah I considered making one myself, but for 65-85 dollars... that would avoid so much headache with wiring and save so much time so I plan on buying it. So how does the EDIS work? What exactly do you need to do that set up?
  6. I'm very swapping to a l28et very soon, going to be using megasquirt and I've searched, but is a turbo igniter required?
  7. Quick question to either of you.. Is a turbo igniter required?

  9. The thought of wiring megasquirt in terrifies me, luckily my father is an expert with electronics and all that, so he should make quick work of it. Anyways, dropped the block off for a cleaning and hone job, and sent the head to get a 3-angle valve job and pressure tested. I'm going to paint the block red, and possibly powdercoat the valve cover red, or just paint it.
  10. Hi, I'm about to start my turbo swap, so now is a good time to start documenting some real work being done. My car as it sits: Got a f54/p90 today and disassembled, going to send to machine shop for a cleaning, honing and a valve job on the head. Look! Still has cross-hatching So my l28et plan is: 440cc injectors (already have) Shaved (non-erg), Polished intake (already have) 240SX TB (Have) Megasquirt 2.2 (Have) Wideband o2 sensor + gauge (buying this week) Going to use stock rebuilt T3 turbo at 10 PSI for now (Have an ebay T3/T04, will use when I can use my intercooler) Volve 740T Intercooler (I'll be using a j-pipe at first until I get some piping) So a pretty mild l28et build, I'm hoping to be able to make 250 HP at 10 PSI with the stock turbo, but in reality i'll be happy to get the thing running.
  11. You know I haven't, I've checked the pick n pull inventories a bit and none of them seem to have injectors left on them, but it won't hurt to try.
  12. Person I bought them off only had 5 at the time. If anyone has just a single pig tail i'll buy it, or give something for trade.. or.. whatever.

  14. For 5000 you can get a pretty nice Z.. Anything you buy though, check the battery tray, the floor pans, and underneath the car for rust.
  15. Man I just fixed my overheating issue that popped up last night. The pulley on my alternator was messed up so proper rotation of the water pump pulley was not achieved. It also sounded funny too, take a look.. never know.
  16. I don't know man, my P90 Ticks too..but yours is a p90a right? Those are "supposed" to sound quieter.
  17. I am purchasing a 14mm pallnet fuel rail from another remember for a GREAT price,however I have 11mm supra injectors. Can I simply get a bigger o ring to fit into the larger fuel rail? Does anyone have experience with this?

  19. I bought a set of s30 interior door panels from him. They are in even better condition then he said. Shipped them out super quick and took the time to make a custom box to make sure they shipped safely. 10/10 experience.
  20. I have a 95% rust free 1978 280z with an L28E in it. Recently transplanted, has good compression on all six, however it does burn oil. I #6's intake valve is screwed up, as well as an oil leak in the oil pan gasket.. But it's also possible #6's ring is bad. All exterior lights work, radio works, heat works (no A/C, missing condensor). It is primed a rustic red color to keep it rust free. All tires have good tread, front brakes were recently replaced. The interior is pretty rough, but I have two new interior door panels that would go with it. It's a five speed transmission that has ran strong. It isn't a pretty car. I also have a brand new T3/T4 turbo, 6 440cc supra injectors and a shaved and polished non erg intake with a 60mm TB with TPS on it. We can see about working those into the deal. Im interested in 280zxs, 300zxs and 240sxs. I kinda like a little more creature comforts. Obviously willing to sell as well for a fair price.
