  1. woooooooooo sweet thnx!! cant wait till ep 7
  2. yea except u'll get water dripping right on ur bat terminals when it rains =(
  3. i do plan on making a full, flat belly plate and front diffuser to go with this rear one, as without them, the rear's pretty much just for looks... for the angle of the fins, some rear diffusers ive seen have the fin start out narrow and close together and eventually opening up funneling outwards, maybe creating a low pressure zone? like the ford gt's rear difuser
  4. im looking to make a rear diffuser, either outta fiberglass or cf. what do u guys think of this idea it would be done in pieces, the curved piece + 4 fins. just bend a piece of metal to the correct curvature, lay glass/cf over it, peel off and cut/sand to shape. then make the fins (lay on flat surface, peel, cut to shape), and then rivet the fins onto the curved piece. wat do u guys think. also do the fins have to be at a certain angle, or r they straight, i knw very minimal in terms of splitter effects.
  5. ^^^ erm... yea.. u roll on paint, wetsand smooth, then polish with a buffer/compound... obviously its not goin to look that smooth right after u roll on the paint..
  6. it was turboed and he had the dyno to proove it was 459 or 479. can remember. definately over 450 cuz i remember looking at the dyno and thinking, "damn race prepped and 450+ hp only did 3.5 seconds better than my 150hp diy car at autox" lol. but then i realized 3.5s on a small course like that is alot =P
  7. haha yea u need to do alot of sanding, but at least its fairly easy to sand AND the paint is alot more durable/scratch resistent to scuffs and marks than auto paint/clearcoat
  8. oops yea thats an rb25, my bad lol. i thought i took pics of that L engine =(
  9. finally got some pics of my roller jobs lol, been a while since i started this thread. glad to see everyone's using it to their advantage! some nice looking roller jobs here quarter sanded with 1500grit. WAY less scratches than the roof. roof was sanded with 800 grit only and polished, under sunlight u can see the scratches from the coarser sandpaper, i was too lazy to use higher grit sandpaper lol. i tried to catch the sunlight to show the spider webbing. all in all, this paint dries HARD, its not as easy to polish as normal clearcoat or even rattle can spray paint, so the sanding marks are a bit harder to polish out, however i imagine if u go with 2000+ grit sandpaper to finish, results can be very desirable
  10. a few from the shownshine on the 9th. rover V8 240z best of show 450+ hp L-series engine race car rb26 280z 2jz 240z a very cool license plate wonder if thats legal lol figlet!!! cost total of 8K cdn to bring in, it was MINT PDM representing
  11. i would think that they'd use both stitch welding and rivets to stiffen up the chasis from the weld, and stiffen but still alow some flex with the ss rivets. the car has to flex at some point so if u weld up all the seams, like johnc said, the material will then flex, so at soem point it will crack. so its best of both worlds using both, weld in places that doesnt require the flex and rivet in places that does.

  14. sweet thnx. now i gotta go find a 240 tank
  15. nice post. has anyone put a 240 tank onto a 280? i have a 280 and theres a HUGE dent right in the middle of the tank, its ugly. also i think the 240 tanks look sleaker with their sloped bottom. would the 240 tanks be just as easy to fit onto the 280?
  16. cool! from the man himself! i already msged roostmonkey, but he didnt reply. i'll keep waiting for his reply. but if anyone else has one, feel free to msg me thnx!

  19. sweet install! hoepfully i'll be doin that soon. do u guys knw if theres a polyurethane diff mount? the nos one from nissan is $97 cdn + tax...
  20. i had the exact same problem. at first i checked the reaction disk like everyone said, but it wasnt it. checked the rear calipers and they were the problem. they were on the the correct side, but the bleeder nipple wasnt at 12 o'clock. it was about 10:30, so there a tiny bit of air trapped in the caliper causing the soft pedal. had to remove the lower bolt, tilt the caliper up till the nipple is 12 oclock and bleed it again. make sure u put something between the pads so they have something to clamp onto. im pretty sure that'll gaurantee you to solving this problem
