  1. That would be fantastic! Thank you for that and also for sharing the pictures. Your '73 is in the same condition I got my '73 in. I will be in touch!
  2. Scarab#157, where about do you live in Wisconsin? I'm right outside Milwaukee. It would be pretty cool to see a real Scarab.
  3. I'll be watching this. It would be a really cool swap. Points for originality. As far as I know, knobody has done this, so you are treading new ground. Everything would have to be custom made. If you don't do the work yourself, you are looking at a bill hittin' the 5 figures. I haven't been around much the past few years, but as of today, will be around more. If you have any questions about the LC2, ask here or drop me a PM. Mat
  4. Lance, Why couldn't you make those rings out of MDF? It's just the same as making speaker mounting rings, then use a router or shaper to give you the type of edge you want.
  5. This might have been posted else where, but this is sort of two engines. Kinda cool though. http://ls1tech.com/forums/conversions-hybrids/1643786-v12-ls1-build.html
  6. Clever way to install the hitch. For the issue quoted above, what I do with the hitch on my truck, is use wood shims and jam them in there to take up the slack. Works great. Especialy works great for those that keep the recievers inside thier hitch all the time and don't like hearing the clunking around while driving.
  7. I'll fix the links guys. Give me a few days and they should be working again. Sorry!
  8. Just getting back to Z's again. I've been away for quite a while. Sorry guys for the bad links. Give me a few days and I'll fix this stuff.
  9. Thanks man. Little confused, but were you offering one to me for ten bucks? If so, then yeah, I'll take it. I'll email you. On a side note, man, has this website changed since I've been here last. I have to look around and read all the new stuff. Looks like a crap load more people too. Seems like a lot of young guys getting into the Z's now days, which is cool.
  10. Been away from the computer for a while. I initially got several replies, but unfortunately I wasn't able to make anything happen. Kind of a long story. So, does anybody have a drivers side exterior door handle? Thanks, Mat
  11. My drivers side exterior door handle busted. Looking for a decent replacement. Don't need anything show quality, just another used one so I can open the dang door. Anybody have one?
  12. G'day,

Can you please tell me which oil pressure and coolant temp sensors you used for the dakota digital setup?

The thread type on the temp sensor would help heaps.

    Cheers

    Dan

  14. I'll throw some pictures in for you guys. I don't have to worry about having to go through the gears with the fluid drive, however, I was told that I shouldn't use it much because its a weak point in the transmission. I'll check the linkage tonight and see what's going on. Thanks for the website too. I plan on making the Dodge a fun weekend driver. Hit it with some matte black paint, tint the windows, black Diamond racing wheels with new tires, new weatherstripping and if I have the guts, chop the top. I have a '47 Plymouth top that I can butcher to make the chop top happen. I have like four sets of bumpers, but I kind of like it bumperless. I'll start playing with it over this coming winter. Sittin' low All electrical is new and converted to 12 volt Underneath is very clean. Glasspack muffler is a bit loud. Love the four door. And my poor dirty Z... needs a good weekend and it will be road ready, no kiddin'! ---------------- Now playing: Mos Def And Massive Attack - [DJ Kicks (Daddy G) CD1 #15] I Against I [foobar2000 v0.9.4.1] via FoxyTunes
  15. Not only Karma, but installed like in the picture, I used two very short screws to anchor the bump stops to the spring hat. Then they stay in place and don't bounce around on the cart. rod. Some people have that problem... ---------------- Now playing: Kasabian - [Empire #07] By My Side [foobar2000 v0.9.4.1] via FoxyTunes
  16. I have American Family and I'm 32 with a okay driving record. I have their collector car insurance, but you MUST have a daily driver insured by them. For full insurance on the Z, agreed value of $12k, I only pay $57 per year. Whats weird is I just insured my new project, '47 Dodge D24 and it's $80 a year for full coverage. ---------------- Now playing: Hypertrophy - [PromoOnly Mainstream Club-May #05] Just Come Back To Me(Friburn n [foobar2000 v0.9.4.1] via FoxyTunes
  17. Looks good man! That's exactly the way I want my white GNZ to look, with the ZG flares and 17's. Nice
  18. He guys, recently got a new project. It's a '47 Dodge D24. Flathead six, three on the tree, air bag suspension, and the body is very decent. A little mud here and there, but nothing major. Came with a crap load of parts too. Runs and drives, but having a problem with the transmission. I can't get the damn thing into third or reverse. When I pull the gear shift towards me, I can't get it to go into gear! It's very frustrating. I need to move this thing into storage so my buddies and I can finish the Z. It's taking up precious garage space. Any idea what to look for? Any websites you can point me to? Thanks guys ---------------- Now playing: Herbaliser - Saturday Night - (featuring Fabian / Big Ted) [foobar2000 v0.9.4.1] via FoxyTunes
  19. Hey guys, haven't been here in like 5 months. Been spending a lot of time on my duplex and not on the computer or my Z. Sorry to those that PM'd me. I'm just getting around to answering them now. I pulled the Z out of the corner of the garage and am going to get it moving under its own power once and for all. I'm getting married to a beautiful blonde hair, blue eyed woman on Oct. 4th and the car needs to be done before the wedding date. I'll probably be around a little more since I will be working on the Z. Oh, I want to change my user name to CruxGNZ. The definition of the word fits my Z project better. Mat
  20. I'm on my way to the local Urgent Care (have a nasty sinus infection), so I stopped in at the 'rents house to use their computer real quick. I am loving the duplex. What's kind of neat, is that my Dad did the finishing work on this place 20 years ago. The duplex was bought off a friend, so I got a AWESOME deal that just could not be passed up. First thing I did is gut my master bath and make it the way I wanted it. Never been able to do that before. It's a great feeling. Whenever I have a free moment, I'm tearing something down or replacing something. It sucks thinking, "should I buy a new water softener, or a shifter for the Z...?" Priorities, you know? I'm getting my new work bench set up in the basement (the basement is attached to the garage (its a two story, exposed basement), making it a great setup ) so I can play with the Datsun when I don't want to work on the home. I still live in Brookfield, and there is a nice park right down the road, so I'm thinking of having another Z shindig this coming fall at the park. Z-Gad, I did make some progress on the GNZ before I moved into my place, but nothing to major, just some wiring that needed to be done. The next major thing is to start the damn engine! If I start it, I will make time to take video and pictures, then update you guys here.
  21. Thanks John! I may need some help in a couple months. I still have your phone #.
  22. Guys, sorry but I can't get your PM's! My inbox is full. I'll have to come back another time and delete a crap load of messages, ...unless an admin wants to bump my inbox back to where it was? For the time being, please e-mail me, thanks.
