  1. alright..need to order it asap and get someone to weld the extra pipe in.
  2. ok, im just looking at a aftermarket for it and didn want to order it and be too short or something.
  3. sorry if this has been discussed before, but yielding a quick search i didnt find much of anything pertaining to this, and i know there is a actual exhaust section..but seeing that it didnt seem to have that much traffic, i decided to post here. im in the need for a new exhaust for my 78 2+2, because of my pacesetter that was previously on the car...well you can guess, it rusted off! and seeing that i dont drive the car much anymore i just decided to take it off at the CAT just to see how it sounded and if i could feel performance gain...but with that aside i need to run the car through inspection at the end of the month and i need an exhaust. but the question is, i need to know if the exhausts for the coupe 280z will fit on my 2+2.
  4. ok, i just got my self an Alpine 9885 for my 280z the other day, i have it in and hooked up and it works wonderful...but, my dumb self wired both the power leads through the ignition source so every time i turn off my car it resets all my settings on the head unit. now my question is, where do i wire it so i have some sort of power all the time (yellow wire, red wire is correctly wired for the ignition), i just tried to tap the hazards today but that didnt seem to work...and to clarify i used the green w/ black stripe..soooooo what can i tap into so my headunit wont reset? and ps. im not that great at wiring, you tell what to wire i can do it. but exploring and identifying things myself im terrible at.
  5. are any of this guys items still in production?
  6. yea my bad.....im in 240sx mode thinking the stock wheels are 15x6 +40, DOH!! browsing 2 different forums at once is not a good idea...
  7. im kinda partial to the blue...i like the 307 and 115 stock colors, but i think they could be darkend up just a little bit, although my stock paint right now is fine im gonna have to repaint when i get my flares and fender mirrors....i have the stupid side trim. but i think im going to go for some kind of darker blue or what i mentioned, the stock colors modified a bit with flat black trim pieces
  8. yea in my head im thinking the 2+2 will actually make the car look lower and sleeker because of the flatter surfaces and not as much roundness on the back end, and as i messed up in the other thread im planning on getting the watanabe r type and not the RS-8 in the ZG flare sizes.(16x8.5/9 -13 and 16x9.5 -19)
  9. ok thanks, yea i meant the R type...but takumi project calls them 8 spoke so i kinda through together r type and 8 spoke. but i wasnt worried about caliper clearance, but the inner wheel diameter and but that has been cleared up now, thanks alot.
  10. r-32 gts wheels are 16x6.5 +40 and r-32 gtr are 16x6.5 +30..shouldnt hit suspension at all.
  11. ok, ive contacted both dave at AZ Z car and a seller of the watanabe rs-8 and its slightly unclear if the brakes will fit inside the wheels. from what i remember alex at Vildini motorsport has the Wilwood calipers which im thinking he had the AZ Z car kit...but the sr240z site is down at the moment and i havent seen alex on aim in a while so i cant verify this on my own. any one have a deffinate answer for me? this is for the 4pot 12.2" rotor setup
  12. yeah i guess...im from the wonderful land of 240sx's and all ive ever seen anyone use on over fenders is rivits and they always look and hold up fine.
  13. eh, maybe soon i'll sway your opinion on a 2+2. im going to build mine with xenon style front fascia, 240/260 bumpers(its a 280), ZG flares, fender mirrors, BRE style spoiler and watanabe rs-8...its what everyone does to their coupe but im doing a 2+2. im thinkin it will look just as good, with the little extra length it will make the Z look totally different.
  14. that i am doing, getting a xenon/MSA style front valence along with the ZG flares...and yes this car will be low.
