  1. Bump... Still looking for one Thanks
  2. Wanted to buy. R200 3.90 long nose in good condition. PayPal nicatme@aol.com
  3. 74 260Z with R180 3.54 Swap to R200 3.90 with an OBX Before I even purchased the OBX and before I did the swap I read every topic I could on it. Bought all of the parts needed for the swap. Checked and fixed the "backwards from the factory" gears. Changed the washers and installed them the same as cygnus had in his. Had the OBX, backlash, and new (expensive) side bearings installed professionally. Everything fit as it should as well as the axles from a 280 with an R200.(Aside from my pinion flange that I had to change) Using Redline fluid. Sounds fine on acceleration. Under deceleration loud grinding noise. As soon as I relieve the deceleration pressure the noise goes away. Just from this description what do you think? Could it be one of the axles sits too far in? Or am I off base? I'll be removing it this weekend but hoping someone has some magic dust I could get to make it better.......... And as always thanks ahead of time Bobby
  4. Wanted to buy The pinion flange from a 280Z R200 differential. PayPal. Thanks
  5. History I have an early 260Z that came with an auto trans and R180 3:545 diff. One of the first things I did was swap out the auto for a four speed that I had from a donor car. Fast forward a year or two and decide I want to do the R200 swap. Started reading the various forums about it and went ahead and got the parts I needed and an R200 that I thought was from a 280ZX. I purchased a OBX lsd for it as well. And yes, my gears arrived backward also. So I installed the OBX (after cleaning and insuring the gears were in the proper orientation), new side bearings, seals and gaskets. I start assembling and never thinking I may not have a match between the diff flange and my drive shaft yoke. Hhmmm not even close. So after some further investigating (Thanks again HybridZ forums)I was able to find out that apparently my R200 was from a 300ZX (thanks to a post by howler monkey) So am I correct that I now need a drive shaft yoke from a 300ZX? And that will fit on my 260Z drive shaft? Or do I change out the differential flange? Can I drill the R200 flange to the 260's yoke pattern (I have access to a machine shop)? I'm almost there.......... Thanks ahead of time In the photo....... 260Z flange on the left 300ZX flange on the right Bobby

    Nut size

I've been checking but cannot seem to find the size of the two nuts that attach an R200 to the mustache bar. Size and pitch? (16MM X 1.5 maybe?) Thanks ahead of time. Bobby
