  1. I talked to Dave at Arizona Z cars about his 5 jug brake kit for the S30 Datsuns and he indicated that the kit pushed the wheels out "about .75 inch" further then stock. My question to him was what does he recommend for a rim size on an unflared Z, understandably he was pretty vague. Does anyone on this forum have experience with this kit, if so what rims (size) did you use? Any other thoughts or advice on these regarding proper rim size would be appreciated as well.
  2. Looking for a clean (no rust) hatch for a 280z. I'm in Wisconsin - Thanks
  3. Anyone know the front caliper piston diameter of the Arizona Z 4 piston race brake kit? Thanks
  4. That Guy, What rims are those, they look good. Also what tire size are those? Thanks
  5. Hey great car -I think you just raised the bar on what the definition of resto-mod means. I scanned through most of this tread (19 pages) and did not see the specific rim and offset and tire size that you are using, could you share. Sorry if it is posted in there and I missed it.
  6. Thanks for the suggestions guys, I decided to put my purse down and remove the transmission and install the fitting per COLTS suggestion. I got the fitting at Speedway if anyone else is interested.
  7. If your interested I made a brake calculation spreadsheet that can help you size and balance your brake system. You may find it useful. My link
  8. I have a T56 from a 2004 GTO and am trying to find a fitting to adapt the clutch release bearing fitting to a AN fitting so I can connect the clutch release to the master cylinder. I don't want to separate the trans from the engine if I don't have to as it is a low miles engine and worked well before. Any ideas on ow to make this connection? I remember seeing something about this awhile ago but could not find it now. I attached two pictures of the fitting in question on the transmission
  9. carfax should give you some good hints
  10. Just to clear this up (I hope) so others dont make the same mistake that I did.... The JTR T56 mount will not work or work right on a 280Z. The floor is not flat in the area that the mount bolts to the floor. You may be able to modify the floor, but unless you spent A LOT of time on this it would not work well.
  11. Bump...last time Anyone with experience with these. I'm want to get some glass bumpers for my 280 from MSA, but have not heard much about them.
  12. Sorry, I'll try again - had to zip it. Brake Pro 3000.xls.zip
  13. I thought I'd post up this excel program that I wrote to help me size my brake components. It will NOT tell you specifically what size brakes to use but rather give you some insight on how your brakes should be proportioned relative to each other (front to back) and the effect things like CG location and wheelbase have on the braking system. If nothing else it serves and a good educational tool to learn more about brakes and brake dynamics, play with the inputs and watch what happens to the outputs. Hope this helps someone out
  14. wtb s30 passenger side hatch hinge shipped to 54971 (wisconsin) Thanks
  15. What am I doing wrong... I have a JTR X-member made for a T56 and it does not look like it will work in my 280Z. The floor area that it mounts to is not close to flat, any ideas? Do you guys all have 240's?
  16. Still looking for a drivers side headlight bucket in good condition, please send me a picture if you have one to sell. Thanks you can email me at kellyandcolin@yahoo.com Thanks
  17. As stated, Tabco does make the patch pannel that you need. i just recieved mine, it looks like a good part, should work well to fix your problem
  18. The JTR mount will not work in a 280z as the area on the floor to which it should mount is not flat at all. I bought one and JTR has offered no further information so far on why it will not fit. I am either going to buy the JCI member or fab my own? I like the one shown above.
  19. looking for a drivers side headlight bucket in good shape.
  20. I have a t56 from a GTO (2004) and I'm not sure how to adapt up a line from the master to the slave. The slave has the GM looking quick connect (see attached picture). I really don't want to take the transmission off to make this connection if I can help it. I was thinking of cutting off the fitting and trying to flare the steel line - but that is the last resort. Any Ideas?
  21. Does anyone else have some pictures of installed or detail on the MSA fiberglass bumpers?
  22. Not tryin to hijack this, its a little bit of an older thread. Anyways here are a couple of pictures of what I'm dealing with.
  23. Figured this might be a good place to put this... I have a 280Z and a GTO LS1 with the JCI kit, I have just installed the engine and the alternator stud looks like it has about 1/2-3/4" of interference with the engine mount. Even if I cut 3/4 inch off the stud I would still hit. I know the clearence is very tight here, but my case seem very extreme. I have a GTO alternator, any chance that it is longer then the Cammaro alternator. Any other ideas here? Thanks
  24. I have also looked at those mounts, one other problem I see with all these mounts is clearance to get the exhaust between the frame and the engine. I have a set of headers ordered, so once I get them I can see what I have for clearance / room for these type of mounts
