  1. Thanks for the response 78 and Terry. Could not read the link though... can you repost it? Thanks
  2. I have built a new front frame for my 280Z and am second guessing myself on the location for the front cross member (since its a new frame i must drill the mounting holes for the stock crossmember). kind of two part question: 1) Where is the stock bolt hole location realitive to the shock mount (lateral and longitudinal) - I know Ishould have made this measurement prior to removal of the frame, but the frame was so twisted and dented I would not believe the measurement anyways. 2) is there an advantage to moving this x-member forwards or rearwards on the car? I am installing a LS1 so I dont think I can move rearward any. Thanks
  3. What aftermarket arms are out there besides AZC? Anyone have experience with any, included the AZC front control arms? I'm looking to buy a set and would like any feedback with your experience(s). Thanks
  4. Anyone have any more info on this? Pictures and or updates (Mustard?).
  5. Madcaw So you are using the stock filler location still and running dual exhaust? Are you able to use regular size mufflers still? How much clearance do you have inthe passenger side between the muffler and the filler? I'm also looking at doing this and am not sure where to run the fill line to that will still allow for duals. Thanks
  6. Hey 80LT1, what body / paint shop are you using in the Appleton area (I'm in Oshkosh)? I'm looking for a good body shop / paint shop in the area. Car looks great by the way.
  7. Dont remember if they have bumpers or not. Good looking stuff though.. http://zfiberglass.com/id10.html
  8. space-age, if your cooler works you will be rich, rich I say. Every Diesel made today is tuboed and intercooled (charge air cooled) not to mention the tuner market.
  9. On mine (280Z) I have no vertical offset at all, just bolt straight up to the bumper mounts front and rear. I can turn it with one hand.
  10. try these guys out for pre-bent brake line http://www.classictube.com/search.asp
  11. Anyone have pictures / input of bedliner in the interior. Thanks
  12. CFD = Computational Fluid Dynamics Prescot AZ = Home of Emery Riddle (sp?) Aerospace Engineering school Redfive = Proud Student of Emery Riddle (is my guess) A good CFD program would run upwards of 5000.00 so thats not an option for us (except Redfive).... May be he would do it for us for extra credit? On your other thought, about the linear pots for recording ride height. I think you would see too much noise (small bumps in the road) and the change in ride height due to areodynamic effects would be small in proportion the suspension due to bumps in the road. I think you would end up with a real mess of data that would be hard to make any real conclusions.

  14. Anyone with experience with the radiator sold at bandmzcars.com? Thanks
  15. Anyone have experience with nibblers or shears? I'm looking to do some fabrication (making patch panels for shaving rear end and side lights as well as some other sheet metal work). What is the difference between the two? What brands do you have and how well do they work. I know Milwaukee makes both and so does Harbor Freight. Thanks
  16. Any updates on the S53 seats?
  17. Eric, I looked at those cars too (i live in Oshkosh). Looks like he had a ton of parts laying around and in the cars. Did the 280z sell as well (the one under the tarp)? I have a 280z that i've been working on for about 8 months now, its been slow going be very fun / learning alot. PS I see that your an engineer, where do you work? I work at Oshkosh Truck Good luck on your project(s) -Colin
