    pedal box dilemma

The clutch pedal has a offset piece attached to it for the clutch MC clevis. A conplete pedal box for a 70-71 just turned up on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123&viewitem=&item=150254713314
  4. If it works for you go ahead and swing by this weekend and pick up the puller. About that third one "Its long gone never to return" that is all that needs to be said in the forum. I don't want to see this turn into a witch hunt. I need to have a accurate record of the member that borrows the puller and when its back posted to the forum, that is where I was sloppy in the past. Any request to use the puller needs to be posted to the forum but personal information such as Email address, phone numbers and mailing addresses have to be done through PM.
  5. I bring to you "The water/clorox light" Ya right can we say hoax http://www.random-good-stuff.com/2008/05/26/no-batteries-clorox-magic-lamp/ Now the part needed to complete this light are Dilithium Crystals. Dilithium is one substance that can safely combine matter and anti-matter into a stable light stream. Now to get our cars to run on water and Clorox, any takers?
  6. Looks like your next in line, the "The Chiropractor" went with core offer. Since your here in town if you want to pick the puller up there is no shipping involved. On another note, the second missing puller has turned up and should be heading back shortly.
  7. The high shipping is done like you say to reduce the final eBay fee for the item. I always look at the total cost including shipping to make the decision to bid or not. I just bought 25 of the bearings off eBay I use in the spindle pin puller for $15 plus $40 for shipping. They were shipped in a $12.50 Large Flat Rate Box, ya shipping was high but I knew the shipping cost going in. So for a total of $55 I have 25 bearings that cost me $18 each locally.
  8. I spent the last hour looking for good replies to feedbacks that the new eBay feedback policy is going to cause. I found this seller that has it all together. I don't know if I would be afraid to buy from this guy or buy from him to see what he would leave me. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthers His replys to feedbacks left for him are great!!! http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackAsBuyer He got a negative on page 5 that he replies to.
  9. Most of the stuff I ship eBay or other is USPS but I do have a UPS, and Fedex account. I had a package come here a couple days ago DHL and talked to the driver and he said to give DHL a try , so I just did. A 35 pound box from Oregon to Washington costs $29.85 Parcel post, $21.35 Fedex and $15.40 DHL and they picked it up. I do get what ever free shipping supplies I can from the shippers because it all adds up if I have to buy the stuff.
  10. I get the same treament here also, I have a $1 added to shipping also, add to the packaging costs the PayPal fees for the shipping money and I loose money on the shipping every time. What if a item goes UPS, Fedex or DHL I then have to take it to a shipping center or pay to have it picked up. I just started doing free shipping on some small items, hoping to get higher closing prices.
  11. My rating also dropped from 100% to 99.4% because of 1 neutral. I guess since a positive is all I can leave for the buyer I can say that "I am positive I am not happy with this dead beat buyer"
  12. The way eBay has it now the seller will take all the hits while the buyers feedback does not jump out and grab you. Even a neutral has an effect on the sellers overall score.
  13. eBay just changed the way feedbacks are given. A seller still can get negative or neutral, but it looks like a buyer can only be left with a positive. So as a seller I went looking for creative feedbacks that can and have been left. Some of these are priceless. NEUTRAL: Excellent communication, but seller didn't poke holes in box before shipping kitten. NEGATIVE: Despite indication in listing, I could not fit item into any of my body cavities. NEGATIVE: Honda R-Type sticker did not add more horsepower as advertised. NEGATIVE: Item arrived broken and does not work. I still believe in Jesus Christ though. NEGATIVE: Should have mentioned that only accepted pyment method is in Bhats through Eastern Union Moneygram NEGATIVE: Darned dog won't hunt! Thought "stuffed dog" meant you fed it and it was full! NEUTRAL: Very nice, but monkey costume is size 34, not the size 63 as listed. NEGATIVE: Lederhosen is not as pink as it looks in the picture. NEGATIVE: Everything I could hope for but Postman made me sign for it at the post office. Such Hassel! NEGATIVE: though u did nothing wrong, let this negative feedback teach you that the universe is arbitrary & unfair. NEGATIVE: Buying this 1999 Space lunchbox failed to fill the empty void in my life like I hoped it would. NEGATIVE: Bought this item for my cousin with cancer. Item never arrived and now my cousin is dead! NEGATIVE: Item arrived in a Ford Pinto which quickly blew up with my item inside it! NEUTRAL: Buyer paid so quick that I peed my pants. Now I have to get new trousers. NEGATIVE: Ordered item last year. Never recv'd & long since gave up hope. Arrived in mail today. NEGATIVE: Item never recv'd. No response from seller. I'm out $! Other than that, great transaction. NEGATIVE: I ordered white chocolate/received brown chocolate! I am severly allergic 2 brown chocolate! NEGATIVE: Ordered makeup & revd quickly. But my brother says I am still ugly. Product obviously does not work! NEGATIVE: no warranty on car! damaged with use! seller will not refund my money.. BEWARE! Reply from Seller: You drove the car into a brick wall... UM, hellllllooooo! NEGATIVE: How long does shipping have 2 take? Ordered last week & paid for express delivery! Still not recvd. Reply from Seller: Hmmm.... shipping will take FOREVER because you paid the wrong person!
  14. I have decided to offer a option to spending $25 for the loaner to ship it both ways. Don't panic I still do the loaner program. For $26.50 shipping included in the States you can buy the 1" x 12" long threaded core that is drilled and tapped for the 12-1.25mm spindle pin. The parts you need to furnish and will be cheap for you locally are a piece of 1" x 10" long galvanized (Water) or black (gas) pipe, 2 each 1" hardened washers and a 1" nut. I weld one washer to the end of the pipe but that is not needed at all. The core is the same one I use on all my pullers I sell here and on ebay. The secret to this core is the type of Helicoil I use in the end. My core failures were caused when I changed to Perma-Coil brand inserts.
  15. Looking back through the thread it looks like your next in line. The loaner cost will still be the same $25.00. That is not a deposit, it only covers shipping both ways. With the tool you will get a pre-paid return label so all you do is put it back in the box, put the label on it and set it out for the postman. If you break it let me know and I will send out the parts to get you back in business, there is no extra charge for this.
  16. Its nice to see a thread that started 4 years ago come back to life the way this one has.
  17. Got one of the pullers back today, but you may have to wait your turn since a couple members posted before you. Need to see if they are still needing it. I see that you are also in Portland, I sent you a PM.
  18. 240 Al, I think at the moment you are 2 down on the waiting list. I have 3 of the pullers out on loan to members and and am not having much luck in getting them returned in a timely manor. I have not had a loaner ready to go out since the last one went out several months ago. I need find a way to get a speedy turn around with these pullers so others can use them.
  19. I would think that water would find its way into the car especially any running off the drip rail.
  20. Just head down to your local exhaust shop and have then sell you a piece of exhaust pipe. I don't remember the size but one of them is a perfect fit. I then took a ball pien hammer and piened over the edges. It was a quick and easy fix.
  21. When I saw the video I viewed it as a infomercial like you see on TV where it is not as it looks. I went ahead and bought more than I really needed so I had enough to practice with. It did work like in the video, I have used it to repair a boat prop and make some aluminum brackets by joining pieces together, fixed a cracked aluminum lawn mower deck, even fixed a intake manifold that had a chunk missing. The manifold was tough at first until I tossed it in my oven and heated it to 250 degrees.
  22. I bought some aluminum rod from durafix that uses a propane torch. I have fixed all kinds of things with it and found the stuff works just like video shows. http://durafix.com/demo/256.html I have extra PM me if you want some.
  23. Jon. If you go here I have the directions for the puller that I send with it. http://www.v8-240z.com/Files/Datsun/Spindle-Pin-Puller/Packaged'>http://www.v8-240z.com/Files/Datsun/Spindle-Pin-Puller/Packaged Directions/ These are actual pictures of the puller I make being used http://www.v8-240z.com/files/Datsun/Spindle-Pin-Puller/Puller How To_files/ Here are more pictures of pullers, some mine and some other designs. http://www.v8-240z.com/Files/Datsun/Spindle-Pin-Puller/
  24. If the fan blocking airflow through the radiator when the fan is off is a concern then a resistor to supply just enough power to keep it turning should work. That is how the heater motor is speed regulated. As trick as all the IC controlled devices are they do fail.
  25. Golan makes nice looking one that is billet http://www.golanproducts.com/trapinfo.html
