  1. Same one Harborfreight and $10 less!! http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=91772 If you have a Harborfreight in your area print the sale up and they will match it in the store.
  2. Just buy a TS198, its the part number for a temp sender from a Jeep and I think its also for a Toyota. The TS198 is ready to use as is. Just connect it to the wire that was connected to the stock Z's sender. It won't get any easier. I have found no other solution for the Z's oil sender than use the stock one. I may have a extra if you need one, just PM me.
  3. The temp sender was easy, get a TS198. It has a 1/8" pipe thread so all you need from there is a 1/2" X 1/8" bushing or a 3/8" X 1/8" bushing for the intake manifold. The TS198 reads correctly with the stock gauge. The oil pressure will need to be sender from the Zcar. The Z's oil sender is a 1/8 BSP that is 1 thread count from our 1/8" NPT. I used a 1/8" NPT close nipple and a 1/8" NPT coupling and then used teflon tape as JTR recommended.
  4. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?User=thejuiceboxcompany&Dirn=Received+by&ref=home Shows all their feedbacks except the positives, Interesting comments!!
  5. I drilled one and the holes were on the same plane as the stock just a little wider. For washers I used large diameter hardened plate washers so a large area on the mustache bar was grabbed once the diff was tightened down. The mustache bar is hardened and I had to use a cobalt drill bit to drill it.
  6. A 3 foot pair of these are only $2750 What on earth are these made of? http://www.pearcable.com/sub_products_anjou_sc.htm The review sounds like snake oil http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue32/anjou.htm
  7. The puller went out to "poortecher" this evening. Unless the other 2 loaners make it back soon I have no loaners. Gary (beandip) over at classiczcars.com has his back so there are backups if you contact him.
  8. When printed it looks like the inner edge of the base not down the centerline of the base.
  9. I believe this is from magshooters page http://s170049317.onlinehome.us/V8-240z/Files/Datsun/LSD-Brace/webXbar.gif I started the aluminum LSD brace trend years ago but no longer make them. I still show them on my web page with lots of info. http://www.V8-240Z.com
  10. Did you see that 2 got ejected when the car flipped? Seat belts?
  11. Got the puller back today from madkaw and its ready to send again. There are still a couple loaners out that have not been sent back yet.
  12. This had to leave a mark. http://www.v8-240z.com/hybridz/Saudicaughtspeedingonspeedcamera.wmv
  13. The ZDDP, zinc dialkyl dithiosphosphate has been cut down in ppm in modern oils. Any engine that has a flat tappet cam requires ZDDP in high ppm in the oil. These new oils are formulated for the new generation roller cams. If you look at the class on the bottle of motor oil, "CI-4" is what you want. If you see "CI-4PLUS", "CJ -4" or "FJ-4" it does not have the ZDDP in the proper ppm to protect our flat tappet engines, especially the cam shaft. The STP four cylinder oil treatment and CD2 High Perf Oil Boost (both in the red bottle) have more than the required amount in PPM of ZDDP when mixed with five qts. of oil. It will bring the level of ZDDP at least to where it was back when our engines were new. So using any oil and putting in one bottle of the STP four cylinder treatment or CD2 High Perf Oil Boost should be enough to prevent excessive cam wear. The STP in the blue bottle has less ppm ZDDP than the red bottle.
  14. The walnut shells come out fast and plentifull and don't break up from what I can see. I have a piece of 2" copper pipe with copper caps soldered on the ends I made a radiator catch tank from, the walnut shells don't do much there. So far I found the walnut shells will clean some rust stains from a clear plastic box, but it does mark up the plastic. I stripped the paint from a 280Z plastic hood vent, but it beat it up pretty bad.
  15. I searched and did not really find what I was looking for. I have had a large Trinco bead blaster for years and thought I would try walnut shells instead of glass beads. So far its a waste of $23.00 unless I put the stuff in some paint for my front steps so they are not slippery. Just what do the walnut shells work for? I have tried them on clean alternator cases and a aluminum manifold and I am not impressed. Further more cleaning small parts I have to hold in the rubber gloves in painfill. I have a good supply of dry air and a good flow of walnut shells.
  16. lots of pictures here http://www.v8-240z.com/files/datsun/exhaust/
  17. Making the loaner program work is a tough call. The first time I started the spindle pin puller loaner program they vanished in a short time. This second time around I send the tool out with pre-paid return postage. There is going to be breakage, its just a fact of life. Its easy to refurb a broken spindle pin puller because I make them. With the pullers there is little cost in maintaining the tools. If it comes back broken I just fix-it. If it breaks before a borrower is finished with it I just send out the replacement parts. I just have this figured into the loaner program. The high dollar tools is a different story, and if the tool is heavy the shipping can be a killer.
  18. I think that is a Fiberfab Aztec kit. http://www.fiberfab.us/history.html
  19. There is nothing wrong with those readings. The diodes are working fine and there is a good ground at the alternator.
  20. Another good indication of a alternator problem is to check for AC output at the battery. If you get .9 AC and below that is fairly normal, but a reading of 1 volt and above would indicate a breakdown with the diodes. The other thing to look for is the ground wire from the alternator case. Connect the volt meter set to DC from the negative side of the battery to the alternator case. If there is a reading its not properly grounded.
  21. This is one side, once welded spin the carrier and weld the other side also. http://www.s170049317.onlinehome.us/HybridZ/Welded%20Differential.jpg
  22. They have a toll free phone number on their web page, give them a call and see what they say. As you say the check is probably part of a scam.
  23. There are many that act that way, I use http://www.toolhaus.org to check them out. He does have a pattern as toolhaus shows. So many of these sellers hold you hostage with feedback. I feel once a buyer pays for a item I sold to him that his feed back is earned and I give it at that point. You can always go back and add to the feedback you give.
  24. I always say that I want a good faith deposit to hold the car and it needs to be to my Paypal account. The excuses are always good that they come up with for not making a cash deposit.
  25. Some one needs to reset those air bags, that could cause a accident.
