  1. James, I bought a T3/T04E from you a few years ago. I really appreciated your help and patience with me at the time. I now have a 1 year old son and another on the way so I haven't had as much time for the Z hobby. I remember one time I spoke to you on the phone about my order and your son or daughter was screaming relentlessly. I now feel your pain! Good luck with the NSX project and keep us posted. -Mark Sims
  2. I'm going to see this car tomorrow for a potential new daily driver. 2000 Passat Wagon V6 5 Speed to replace my current 1997 Passat V6 5 Speed sedan. wvwnd23b3ye370862 Thanks in advance....Sims
  3. I quit 26 days ago. I'm 29 and I smoked about 12 cigarettes per day since I was 18. I didn't consider myself to be a heavy smoker but I do feel much better now that I've quit. My cravings are reduced now, but for the first two weeks I would read this webpage anytime I got a craving. Cozy, you should try this if you get an urge. I hope we are both successful. http://www.emphysema.net/my.html

  5. Does anybody have a link or a scan of the instructions? I bought my full cap years ago from someone local but it came without instructions/glue/etc....
  6. Not enough information. Is it a misfire (rich or lean) or is it an ignition miss (like a few dropped ignition events)? Are you running fuel only or spark and fuel?
  7. I doubt this is your problem, but a few months ago my alternator belt was slipping under load causing a voltage dip and the symptoms you are describing. Of course it was even worse with the headlights on. Have you tried increasing/decreasing the value of the pullup resistor? At least with the tach input the following applies: smaller resistance = more sensitive to lower RPM but noisy larger resistance = less sensitive to lower RPM but less noise at higher RPM
  8. Most agree that a driveshaft loop is a worthwile safety precaution on higher hp cars, but I don't often hear much discussion about the danger of a broken halfshaft.... In the past I have had my halfshaft bolts loosen enough that I could hear them clunk. Does anybody have any experience with a halfshaft letting loose at highway speed or under hard acceleration? Just wondering if it would rip through the floor, jam a wheel, etc....
  9. If I didn't already have a complete setup, I would be very interested in this part. Especially if you can get it cheap. Just a heads up for anyone that might benefit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=013&item=230010211407&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1
  10. Just posting my experience and not a technical suggestion. I put a breather on mine and I don't burn/lose oil and it doesn't drip. I have been doing this for two years.

    Pinks

This week on PINKS (Season Premiere): Jeremy Cozad – TX (1976 Datsun 280Z) vs. Darrin Kling - FL (1983 Chevy Monte Carlo) Fiery import racer Jeremy Cozad comes to Gainesville to take home Darrin Kling’s muscle car. It’s a best three out of five drag race...for pink slips. WEDNESDAY, July 12th at 9pm ET/PT
  12. I had similar symptoms and followed this same procedure. However, in my haste I didn't disable the ignition and a spark ignited the gas and for a few seconds I thought I was going to lose my Z and my house as the car was in the garage. The flames were rising from the engine bay and licking the garage ceiling. Please be careful. Luckilly I keep two fire extinguishers within arm's reach in my garage and I took care of it quickly. Even from only burning for 5 seconds, I had to re-wire a lot of my MS wiring. Anyway, I traced my stuck injector situation to a longer screw that I used to hold my cowl down that penetrated my wiring harness and GROUNDED the return for one of the injector banks. I believe that MS grounds the injectors to fire them so you may want to start looking there. Good luck.
  13. Tim, that is your truck! I was looking for your original post this morning and couldn't find it. You posted it a while back and that's what got my wheels turning. Love the style and color. Awesome. Thanks also for the forum, that was going to be my next question. I was poking around http://www.fullsizechevy.com but they seem to be a bit more slanted toward late models.
