  1. yeah i didnt think there would be any gain performance wise but it will clean the engine bay up alot i think. and i figured with all the extra airflow that being able to up the fuel pressure a few pounds might be helpful. im not wanting anything crazy just a good daily driveable z thats hopefully reliable as possible. and i think the stock fuel pressure is 40 pounds. is this correct? can i get rid of the cold start setup or will this effect anything? thank you for your input.
  2. so im wanting to put an actual fuel rail on my 75 280z and heres my plan. just wanna make sure it will work. i was gonna run the line from the fuel filter to the front of the Lonewolf fuel rail (staying with barbed fuel injectors) and install an aem fpr on the back of the rail and run the return fuel line from the fpr back to the original metal return hose. pretty basic and i dont see why it wouldnt work but wanted to get some input before i do it. the only other performance mods im planning for the car is an msa header, 2.5'' exhaust, intake, rebuilt air flow meter, and maybe porting the stock tb mainly just cleaning it up and smoothing it out, and porting the runners on the intake manifold also mainly to smooth out the castings. is there anything i can get rid of on the stock manifold while keeping the stock ecu just to clean it up abit.
  3. i just ran into the same problem with my 75 280z i bought a few weeks ago. just replace the fuel pump and the fuel filter. i got both at autozone. while your at it id drop the tank and clean/pressure check it while youre already under there. might save you head aches in the long run incase there's rust/sediment in the tank.
  4. well just bought a complete 76 280z for 400 bucks. my 75 280z has a perfect restored body but no interior. found a 76 280z with a somewhat decent body but has the nicest interior ive ever seen in any old car, no rips, tears, fading, missing pieces, nothing. so im just gonna switch the interior. the 76 donor i bought is also a complete car with only 96k on it. plenty of spare/replacement parts lol.
  5. im sorry i didnt make myself completely clear. i need the interior door panel. but i may end up needing a door anyways because my driver door wont shut completely and dosent line up with the rest of the body so im thinking it might be bent or the hinges might be bent. so i still might pick it up from you.
  6. like the title says i need a drivers side door panel for a 1975 280z in black. i am willing to pay shipping.
  7. Ok so im new to the z world and have a 75 280z. Eventually im doing a rb25det swap but first my plan is to start on the suspension and rear differential and work my way up to a drivetrain swap. no point in power if i cant get it to the ground and make it somewhat safe and handle like a dream. so far here is what ive figured. I want to order all this stuff monday minus the wheels already have those. ball joints energy suspension hyperflex bushing kit tokico hp performance struts eibach pro-kit springs msa sway bar kit msa front and rear strut bars now my questions is this. i bought a set of XXR 16x8 0 offset wheels and ive never bought tires for wheels this small. so i know im looking at 235 wide possibly? but im not sure on the height. any suggestions on a tire size. i dont want the stretch look i want them to be nice and flush and somewhat beefy.
  8. so i have a 75 280z and a 2006 cobalt ss with a fully built 2.0 and a turbo swap making 480whp. do you guys think that if i use a solstice transmission that this swap would be possible. i would have everything i need minus mounts since i have the complete cobalt ss in my garage. really thinking about this as the cobalt is pretty much in parts and i dont really care for it much anyways.
