  1. I'll be selling the 2 carbs I have if anyone is interested.
  2. I have a pair of 50mm SK racing carbs with brand new OER top cover assemblies I'm selling if interested.
  3. Bump, still looking.. sigh...
  4. Yea, i have 2 good ones, need a third lol. Thanks for the recommendation
  5. I have 2 very nice 50mm oer carbs and im looking for 1 more either complete or missing parts. Can be SK racing or OER, mainly just need a good core but will take a complete one. Let me know.
  6. Lol yeah!! If it breaks at the flywheel then there won't be any engine or car to worry about anymore and maybe I could finally save some money!!! Or maybe not... Tony that's 360 degrees divided by 3 holes on a 4 cylinder. would it not be divided by 4 holes and only 3 of the 4 are drilled, so the 4th hole(not drilled) would be the trigger? I will look at the 2.2 flywheel. That will be a good visual aid. I thought on a l6 flywheel to make this work I would drill 5 holes at every 60 degrees and leave the 6th blank.
  7. The 81zxt wheel in 30-1 seems reliable enough and as I already have the parts minus the $40 sensor and a little time. I just don't see a real benefit to go the flywheel route.
  8. I'm sorry I meant lay the magnets out like I'm adding 6 equally spaced, but in fact only adding 5 in a 6-1 configuration. Or any integer of 6..
  9. I agree tony about the flywheel, I lay holes out and drill aircraft parts up and assemble according to blueprint everyday but i don't know if I could drill the holes in the flywheel and line the sensor up properly. I guess I could since the engine is on a stand. I only need to drill and set 6 equally spaced magnets in the flywheel and set the hall effect sensor directly over their path with a very small air gap between them? Sounds not to bad but I'm sure there is more to it ie getting the flywheel balanced afterwords. This is more solid than the crank mount i was interested in? I am running distributorless so I'm not wanting to go the 82/83 route.
  10. Awesome. Solid advice I was looking for. I'm getting my manifold from senza soon and TonyD has me sold on putting a gt35r on as well. Just slowly building it up nice clean and right the first time. It is expensive but I was looking at how clean it looked. But I can clean up the wheel after I grind it and out the hall effect sensor in the hollowed out cas and make it all look new.
  11. Thanks metro. I like the way you mounted yours in the old cas. That is the same hall effect sensor I was looking at. I was mainly concerned with using an old dampner and getting a new one with a wheel already on it but I take it no problems from yours. Can't wait to set it up.
  12. I was looking today and it seems the stock trigger wheel is a 90 tooth. I'm thinking this may be a better and cleaner install. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Z-Car-Single-Groove-Aluminum-Crank-Pulley-Trigger-wheel-/310246633999?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item483c23f20f
  13. Winstonusmc I have been following your build and I like all the info you post. Do you like the ford cop?? I wonder if one could modify a rb20 cam gear to run the rb20 cas?? Or maybe a l series gear that could run a cas.. seems doable. I will look into the hall effect sensor from diy, seems like a great option for me. Btw I was in Oki from 2000 to 2006
  14. I would like to keep it crank mounted likeb it is stock and do away with the whole distributor all together. I will take a look at the trigger wheel and research a sensor that is compatible with with the wheel and ms3. Anyone know of any? Seems like my best bet as I have the entire 81 zxt setup.
  15. I have searched and researched this and the census is to replace the 81 l28et crank mounted setup for the 82/83. I will be installing a ms3 with ford cop with bryan blakes bracket. Can I use the crank mounted sensor with ms to fire the coil packs? Or is the 82/83 distributor with diy trigger wheel a better option? I want reliable and performance with the clean look of the coil on plug set up. This is for a 400 hp turbo setup.
  16. Yea after looking at prices and comparing results, Isky is my best option. I don't think Kameari does custom grinds like a turbo one either. But they sure can build an engine and there parts look top notch but so is there price. Like you said no need to source outvof country. But I do have a lot of respect for these other companies such as Kameari engine works. I will get an Isky custom grind and get my rockers refurbed.
  17. Sounds amazing, and good on him for his search for more power while most of dream about it and live through his builds. Btw, anyone ever use the Kamaeri cams?? I have been looking at regrinds and I don't want my to chance a schnieder cam or other non japanese billet. I have read a lot of good things about Kamaeri and they have some sick L motors that have been built with there parts. The camshaft is very important and even though very costly, like there twin idler kit, I can't help but think what kind of power they make.
  18. I can't wait either. I've been giving it some thought tony, the gt35r sounds great for me as long as I could get those results at 17-20 psi. After that Im afraid it won't be as efficent. But I'm in the same boat with the gtx3076 after like 25 psi. I saw the graphs for spool on a dyno between the to, but I wonder on the street which one would hit 400hp first. I like the Idea of a almost 500 rwhp motor with full boost by 3400 or so. Hard to beat those numbers and they are real world proven. Wish I saw real world results for the gtx3076r on our motors
  19. Well that was the purpose of this post to help me from second guessing lol. Its a big purchase and I like to get all my research done before I go. I like the feedback from tony and gollum, I don't feel like they are talking me out of it, the gt35r sounds good but without the supporting mods its not really better than a 50 trim IMO. Wigen-out got 385 whp with a 50 trim and big Phil got 388 with a gt35r at similar boost. So its more than just picking a turbo and I get that. I also read what jeffp did with the gt35r and it's hard to justify picking a 3076 over a gt35r. But I was mainly looking at what the 50 trim was doing and what the 35r was doing and wondering if the gtx3076r would fall in between those 2 and be a good match with the mods I plan on doing. It seems so to me and I have heard others say the 3076r was a good match but the gtx flows almost 10lbs more. As to your question, I would think the intake would be a better first place to work since the runners are smaller than the intake valves if I remember correctly. So on a stock head and stock intake, the intake would be the restriction. Tony would know better though.
  20. Yea I was looking at 20 psi to be honest. I think I could go up to 25 no problem. 20 psi on the 50 trim was almost 400 so with port work, a turbo grind and my new intake I should be there. The surge looks close in my opinion too, butuch better than the 35r. its tough to find a turbo that matches as good as a 50 trim
  21. Thanks gollum, I will research that turbo. I'm sure it is cheaper too. Tony it looks like a great turbo on the map I attached, but that is just a reg old gt3076r. I imagine a gt3071 would be good around 300-325. I saw wigen-out did like 385 whp with a 50 trim an A cam and a port matched intake and head at 20 psi. With that info, is it hard to believe that I could get 12 whp with a gtx3076r? Here is the link. http://forums.hybridz.org/topic/86245-went-to-dyno-day-today/ Here is the flow of a l28et stock Here is the 50 trim And here is the gtx3076r So am I wrong to say that based on wigen-outs dyno of 385 whp 390 torque at 20 psi with an unported head (port matched) , and what the gtx3076r map shows, that I won't hit my goal? Looks like a good matxh to me at 20 psi which is around the 2.5 bar mark and 77% efficency mark. With a nicely ported head and a good cam I think I see a turbo good for 400-450 whp.
  22. Here is a reg gt3076r with l28et flow. Looks good at the 2.5 bar. Now if I could only overlay the gtx map.
