  1. I know I have been lurking for quite some time I have a question on what some of you guys have done on your setups. I am keeping it stock no racing, dragging, or autocrossing that I know of in my future. 1. The PVC crossover was broken on mine, I was thinking of just buying a stock replacement. Did you guys just delete it off by using breathers or other alternate ways. I looked on LS1tech and read info and laughed at the bickering too. Just wanted to know your guys take. 2. I will be running a 4L60e. This transmission is rebuilt and not many miles on it. Could I just find the right fitting and plug the cooler lines, or would it be better to go ahead and run an aftermarket transmission cooler to it. 3. Stock Oil sensor was broken and was gonna buy the Autometer 2268 adapter to plug into the hole to use with an aftermarket sensor to go with it. Or would just getting the JCI adapter and go with that? I need to reread a few items that Rebekah had posted a while back with a few others, I just can't remember where currently where there was an issue with the Sanderson headers. Or maybe I am mixing things. Thanks to those who I have asked random questions via pms, emails, or called and to all the others who have sold me their hand-me-downs to make this possible. I am less than a week away from actually putting the motor in, just need to finish welding and order the driveshaft. After all that need to finish the dash, install the Speedhut gauges, and do the wiring. Socorob given me a boost since he has his driving and now I gotta get off my ass.
  2. Savage, I still would need a set if you do.
  3. I have the same issues currently with my 78 on the corner pieces, along with tail light area and lower drip bumper cover panel thingy. As far as budget, I lost track of it after all the nickel and dime stuff I had to keep getting. Lots of info to browse. Most of all, have fun and looking forward to whichever direction you chose to go. (LS swap!!!)
  4. I have the Motive power bleeder and use the ford cap. Doesn't hold very well once under pressure, I can get 1 wheel done then it pops off and squirts fluid everywhere. I got around this issue by using large ty-wraps, works for me for the most part.
  5. I ordered a set of Stagg shocks for my 240z which had 4 blown ones. So far I have installed 3 of the 4 shocks with no issues and should fit my needs as an alternative daily driver for work and weekend cruises as I continue to build my LS1 280. Time will tell if it was worth going with these or should have gone with another budget minded brand. I am thinking at least a few years and the pricing was cheap with shipping. Fitment and sizing are fine and is a good option for a budget stock setup if anyone was considering them.
  6. I would prefer no Safety clutch also. It is your car your building and would only consider it if another family member may drive it. Good thing my wife will never attempt to drive a stick.
  7. Have the ls1 prepped for install and most of the other minor fabs ready for install, just need to weld in the bad dog frame rails first. Been spending some time on a 240z past few weeks, if I get the rear suspension done friday I will take a ride up Saturday if your not busy.
  8. Nice going Rob. I need to find some time to visit lol.
  9. Great plan layout, can't wait for pics!
  10. Some folks are idiots ...
  11. I have a 78 if you still need.
  12. Very Nice work with all that fabricating. I woulda melted that shell in disgust a long time ago. Keep it going tho, can't wait to see the end results.
  13. If I remember, one of the vendors here on the boards is working on selling Tokicos soon (think it was Silver Mine motors, a thread somewhere in the vendor forums). Otherwise there are the normal ones like KYB and Koni come to mind, another one mentioned recently is Stagg that is priced economically for a full set.
  14. Ouch man, that really bites...
  15. Found one, thanks everyone for the PMs
  16. Looking for the stock orange looking air filter housing for a 240Z in decent condition.
  17. I agree with what Rturbo 930 said. I have a 280z that I have in pieces and it's been a bear to actually find time to slap back together. Those areas you showed are typical and shouldn't be hard or take too long to repair. Poke around more by the floor boards and get a good light and peek around the darker areas you can't see well. Anyway, it does seem very nice tho.
