  1. Does anyone have a way to get a hold of Will? Maybe he could release the CAD files for the brackets and other parts instead of having to remeasure and copy.
  2. How much did you pay for your kit and what tranny are you planning to use? I would like to see pics too when you get a chance.
  3. Why are they so expensive? I didn't know these were desirable.
  4. Is there a difference between side mirror mounting holes on a 240z vs a 280z? I'm looking to get an old school 240z style chrome mirror for my 280z. The original plastic one crumbled over time. This picture of a 240z looks like the big and small mounting holes are reversed. Could anyone point me in the right direction of a chrome replacement mirror that could reuse the stock holes? Thanks. Here's what the mounting holes on my 1978 280z look like. This is supposed to be an OEM 240z mirror. But notice how the big hole is on the wrong side.
  5. A little more info on the accident. http://oppositelock.kinja.com/fatal-accident-at-road-atlanta-1721931526
  6. Well, I found another N47 head at the local junkyard in a 1980 280zx. The cam cover is missing and it looks like it's been baking in the sun forever. It's also missing some springs and other components from the head, but the cam and cam caps are still there. It would still cost me about $100 bucks even though it's incomplete and I would have to pull the head myself. Do you think I should wait to buy a complete head? I also found a N42 head complete but it's about 5 hours away from me in Arizona.
  7. I just figured if I was gonna go through the trouble, might as well get a P90 head because I would like to go boost in the future.
  8. Hi, the cylinder head I have in my 280z took a crap. I'm seeing if anyone in the Las Vegas area has one for sale (preferably a P90) before I go to the junk yard and pull the beat up looking N47 head I found there.
  9. Well got some bad news. After cleaning the area it looks like the water corroded and ate a hole through the head. The metal was so weak it just caved in with the pick I was using to clean the area. Probably why it didn't show signs of a blown head gasket. I feel I could get the car running fairly easy again if I could find another good head and swap them. But I'm almost to the point I think I'm just gonna give up on this motor and start saving parts for a LSx swap if I can't find a head in my area fairly cheap.
  10. The moisture looked like it was seeping out of the spark plug socket when it was running.
  11. The motor work was done by the previous owner over 10 years ago so I don't really know the history. I've had blown headgaskets before in other cars where the oil and water mixed and even had smoke from the tail pipe. This car has none of those symptoms besides this coolant leak so that's why I was wondering if anyone has seen this before.
  12. Would this be from a bad head gasket? I don't have a problem doing a gasket change. I was just wondering if this was a symptom of a cracked head or anything.
  13. I know, well the bolt just broke off in it today. Just my luck.
  14. Anyone got an extra 280z thermostat housing they could sell me? I'm in Las Vegas.
  15. Just sent you $130 via paypal. Thanks!
