  1. A "plug" baffle was also in my mind . Yes the regulations are a bit tricky. 73db from 7 meter distance pass by with 30miles engine in gear to have between 2500 an 3000 full throttle. pretty hard to meet i guess.
  2. 3" would be nice but I have to pass the noise regulations I hope to be able with a single 2.5" incl. one muffler and one resonator or a double 2" with two resonatores and one muffler. here the TrueType Font file 240.ttf to repaint the Gauges. 240Z.zip
  3. Just 2 Numbers to go for my project. It's cool to have a Windows 7 TrueType Font fully scalable here in 72 dots a sample
  4. As you can see on the last picture this Dyno was done with the Cast Manifold (ported) and 2.5" Exhaust. Meaning TonyD was right. The loss is not high. (I doubt with headers it would give a lot more power then 272BHP). The engine Custom L28 Crank (stroked) Custom forged J&E piston billet connecting rods, Still with a "mild" 227 Cam. .480 lift. 10:1 Compression Aluminum Flywheel and 280 clutch displacement 2.75L Tripple DCOE-45 OER Original 240z distributor with Pertronix for the moment (later Mallory Unilite) smoewhere I had to stop MSD 6AL-2 Programmable 36° max. Advance The last thing powerwise will be a 2.5" exhaust pipe with flowmaster resonator and my Original ANSA-end customized to fit the pipe. and the measure if I don't surepass the max 73db. I'm pretty happy with the results. Im also creating a 240z font for windows 7 to rebuild my gauges (I will use a 280 Voltmeter to replace the AMP gauge). The 240 and 280 are not the same font. Therefore I decided to make my own. I will putt the ttf files on here when im done. (Within the next 30 days I hope)
  5. Combo Switch assembled With a bit of engine delays and body delays the project goes a bit further. Forged Pistons and Rods Assembled stroked L24 bottom Measured and ported head ported manifold and assembled carbs Engine on the Dyno Second engine dyno session (my excel sheet from the numbers) hope soon some pics from the body as well. In the meanwhile im still rebuilding all the gauges and cover all the internal panels with leather. Picture added and final dyno.
  6. Hello Nigel Do you sell the center ring alone? I did already the conversion but the kit I bought is out of center (the lug pattern). My idea was exactly as yours, with such a ring. and make the lug holes a bit bigger. The center of my Rotors is 71mm and the hub is 68 as you know. the ring i need would be 1.5mm thick.
  7. Which one would be the right for the R180 3.9:1 ? it looks like they have it just for the R200
  8. Ok Thanks I live in Switzerland and I love the roads in the Alps. meaning full throttle, full brake, 180° turn full throttle. This is just a few times a year. otherwise like a dd (sometimes spirited driving sometimes just sportive but not like a granny) But no drag race and no burn out and such things. So in that case I guess I can rebuild mine and don't need to buy another one.
  9. Does anyone know how much this box can handle? (It's the european version) Im wondering, if around 200whp and 240lbs is to much? (NA) Thanks Marcel
  10. I know you're a walking lexicon. Do you know if the fs5c71a (europe 5 gear version) can handle 200whp and 250lbs? Thanks Marcel Switzerland

    Ansa Update

Did anyone update the ANSA Exhaust? I have the system since many years in my garage and I thought, I could maybee change the muffler and pipes to have more flow. The problem is also, over 73dB is not legal here measured 7 meters away from the side. Pass by full throttle in 2 or 3 gear with 30 Miles around between 2500 and 3000 rpm. I guess I would even need 2 mufflers or resonator/muffler in the midle to pass. Thanks for your thoughts. Marcel
  12. I always used it for driving off on a hill. One foot on the brake, one on the clutch and start with the handthrottle. You could also used it as a cruise control, but as far i remember the max was like 3000 rpm I could reach with it.
  13. Yes I know I had them but they disapeared at the body shop many years ago. It was a cool feature. I liked it.
  14. Yes I went myself with a trailer. Do you know him?
  15. Yup The metal was welded from both sides over the rust. The new Bodyshop is one of the few Z body specialist's in Europe (at least payable). The problem with the bodypannels is, I needed the front inner fenders (between the engine bay and wheel) and this is not easy to find and the Firewall. but this guy now knows what he is doing he has over 20z in his garage to rebuild the body. Cool guy. and he does cool work as well. At least what I could see. About the Rebello, Yes the shipping from here to the us would have been 1k$ per way whitch doesn't make sence so I just sent my tripples, cast exhaust manifold to port, distributor and the MSD. He sources the rest of the engine in the US. (nobody wants an L24 anyways, but all the L28). Good for me. Here a pic of the Light Combi Switch disassembled if someone wants to see how it looks in pcs. a bit blurry and before cleaning.
  16. The Project is not dead and now even advancing. Finally I found a body shop 600 Miles away to redo the body. Delivered last week and should be back in a few month. In the meanwhile all the mechanical parts are powdercoated and reassembled. Steering overholed, all shafts redone, the suspension all done, big brake kit intalled. The things on the to do list is finally getting smaller. At the moment disassemble all the electric components like combi switch (nearly done), speedo, tach, clock and so on. The engine is on the way as well. After realizing the costs for a rebello is lower then stroking it myself with new parts and honing labor. I will have a Rebello in 6 to 8 weeks.
  17. Not exactly. Its the one on the right side
  18. Im looking for hand throttle cable incl. handle and knob. Thanks Marcel
  19. Im looking for nice front and rear bumpers. could also be recromed and i pay for the job.
  20. Hello Pete Did you ever send them to europe? What was the Shiping/package price for the stock looking panels. Thanks Marcel
  21. This is my answer i got direct from Hitachi Marcel, Thank you for contacting TOKICO. Regarding part number BZ3015 & BZ3016 we are currently on B/O we are hope to see part number BZ3015 & BZ3016 around 3-4 months. Thanks, Raymund Rijkschroeff Sales Technical Analyst Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. I think John is right. Now I have the same Problem. I need to find struts latest in may. Im going to have a 190 to 200lbs spring 1" lower for the mountain streets in Switzerland. What shocks is a good question Illumina would have been the best option... Koni are to stiff kyb stock replacement only I went trough the traeds but for our case they don't help to much.
