  1. What I really want is to not need keys at all. I want the doors to unlock when I get close to the car and lock when I walk away. I don't need the alarm so I could remove it if necessary... I just use it for the locks anyway. Thank you for your reply, Steve
  2. Dave, I have an old DZ-Start kit as well. I have an Alpine 8080 alarm from "way back" that has a fob to lock/unlock the doors and roll up windows...or will do it automatically when armed. Can the RFID option be tied into the alarm to arm/disarm with the proximity sensor? If not, I really just want the doors to lock and unlock with the proximity sensor...I could remove the alarm.
  3. Any info on nos kit please that's exactly what I want to to my l24. How much hp shot on stock l24 ?

    Thanks

    David

  4. Thanks Joel...! I would venture a guess that yours is much more fun to drive. Hopefully my whole lack of power thing will be cured before I get too old to drive it.
  5. Wow....just Wow. Great(amazing) job. My wife needs to look at this for perspective.
  6. Well it's not "poop on a stick" but I just bought a roush tvs1900 supercharger (Eaton) for 5.3l gmt900 engines. Came with everything...intercooler, lower intake manifolds, larger injectors, cooler plugs...everything. Ad says 450hp/450ft.lbs. With a cam change guys are getting 500. The LC9 5.3l is all aluminum. Now I just need to save my pennies.
  7. is searching for more time.

  10. Sorry I have not been around... I am currently attending school in Portland. As much as I would like to make use of your engine I simply do not have the time or funds to make use of it. I am currently on Christmas break and am home untill the New Year... I will try to stop by and say hello.

  11. 2006 lc3,19,000 miles with six speed. All accessories including computer, harness and all sensors...$7500.00 plus $350.00 shipping. Having to buy Christmas presents instead...........Priceless.

  14. How do you quote another members post within yours? I know how to use this button(wrap (quote) tabs around selected text) but I can't figure out how to make it say who the original poster was...if that make any sense at all?!!
  15. That looks like it was in a sand rail...WOW I wonder what he is replacing that with!
  16. Still interested in my turbo engine?

  17. PalmettoZ, It is mine...L24,290/490 Isky cam, Weber 40DCOE Triples, 110 shot sportsman fogger(direct port wet system). T5 with 4:11 diff. I don't know what the numbers would be but it's not enough. MAG58, 469 h.p.@6400rpm 439lb.ft.@4400 in stock form. How much power can you REALLY use with these light cars? I did see an upgrade that nets over 600 h.p.http://http://www.d3cadillac.com/vehicles-XLR-and-XLRV.php
  18. I have searched and searched but I can't find any "successful" swaps with a northstar engine. The only problem (other than cost) that I can find is the transverse mounting. Since 04 the lh2(325h.p.vvt) and in 06 the lc3 (469h.p. supercharged) have been longetudinal with 6 speed trans. Are they too wide? Hard to mount? I really want one of these in my 240. This is my first post but I have been building my Z since the 80's. I am finally going v8.
  19. I have always liked an uncluttered engine bay, I am going to try to redo some but there is just too much going on in there.
  20. The taillights were made by fusing two (ea) suburban front turn signals together and mounting them from the inside. Lexan (painted black on the inside everywhere except the taillights and the llicence plate) was mounted like a windshield with urathane. The rear flares widen the car 9in. and the front 5in. The flares are metal and were made to fit the wheels. I don't remember the offset of the wheels(been too long).
