  3. Hey I'm not trying to burst your bubble, but I think you budget is not realistic. I would not personally let my car go for anything under $30 grand, and even then I would have to seriously think about it. Just to give you a point of reference. This is a link to a stock z http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Series-/122034583640?forcerrptr=true&hash=item1c69d3f858:g:l6EAAOSweWVXeQxR&item=122034583640 its buy now price is $36 grand. A 2jzgte with manual transmission is almost 10 grand. http://www.ebay.com/itm/JDM-94-98-Toyota-Supra-2JZ-GTE-Twin-Turbo-Engine-6-Speed-Getrag-Transmission-BOX-/141951601218?hash=item210cf98a42:g:g9AAAOSwWBJXBXa-&vxp=mtr I wish you the Best of luck finding your car! EDIT: Just to add, here is a link to Hagerty values for the 240Z. I realize its for a stock Z but gives you a point of reference. https://www.hagerty.ca/apps/valuationtools/1973-Datsun-240Z The following are for 1973s: Concurs $64,000 Excellent $41000 Good $20,000 Fair $9000
  4. Very cool, and different. I like the original Datsun horn button!
  5. I'm hoping Greddy and some other big names start taking notice of the 240z again and start producing more parts.
  6. and it looks like this is the kit he is going to install https://www.facebook.com/RocketBunny/photos/pb.146706275463981.-2207520000.1444954559./697682203699716/?type=3&theater
  7. Hi I'm moving to the lower main land and looking for a z club.
  8. im interested in dash, console and clamshell. Will keep a close watch on this.
  9. I have the Rota rb in 17s. I love them. They balance well and they have held up to the pot holes I've hit. For the price you can't go wrong. Just my $.02
  10. I heard from Gabe from techno toy tuning that his brake kit does not require any modifications to the control arms. Something to keep in mind.
  11. My sr20det sprang a leak on the oil feed to the turbo. The car was running fine before this. I got the car home. I replaced the line. During the installation i removed the intercooler piping from the hot side to get the lines on. I took the car for a drive, everything seemed fine. A few days later i tried to take the car for a drive and it hesitate and shook the car. I was also not building boost. I got the car home and removed the intercooler piping thinking it was a leak. I very carefully replaced the the piping. The car will now barely start. It will have a very rough idle for a few seconds and then shut off. During the idle the Afr is 16 or 17. I disconnected the MAF. It made no difference. I noticed the fuel pressure was dropping as well. I removed the vacuum line to the fpr and had a steady fuel pressure of 43psi. Any ideas . Thanks

  13. http://www.gtspec.com/content/gtspec-tie-rod-vs-factory-tie-rod-technical-information Sorry to bring back an old thread. If I use forester rack with inner celica and outer forester tie rods. Will the outer rods in the link help with bump steer in the z. Edit: I should mention they are for an impreza/ forester
  14. I have the arizona z car weld in plates and I'm finding quite a bit of air and dirt flies up through the holes. Has anyone figured out a way to cap off the opening?
  15. I think they should have had the same type of tires to be fair. Does anyone know what size tires the 240z had? I think the brakes were overpowering the tires.
  16. i'll post my dyno chart when i get back from work. sorry for the delay. It should be noted that im still using the factory sr20 ecu. so it has not been tuned. it just compares my stock turbo and my new one.
  17. Im looking for the ring that holds the rubber boot in place.
  18. Im interested in some aftermarket pedals like www.srpracing.com and www.ultimatepedals.com . I'm wondering if the 1973 240z had slightly larger gas pedal than the previous years. I've noticed on the pictures on these sites that the 260z gas pedal looks larger. I know in the past I've ordered a heater core for my 240z and realized i have a factory 260z heater core. Does any one have any experience with this?
  19. I have zg flares and a rear bumper. I have added a picture in the post regarding victory spoiler
  20. Heres mine with victory spoiler and flares
  21. Hey i figured it out. I feel like such an idiot. once the turbo downpipe was connected to the rest of the exhaust system the siren sound went away. I tightened the bolt on the actuator and i got boost. Thank you for your help.
  22. I just installed the borg warner efr 6258 on my sr20det. I cranked the motor over until i had oil come out the drain. I clamped everything. Started the car and let it idle for 5minutes. I then went to take it fora quick drive around the street when i noticed it wont build boost and sounds like a siren. Im using the build in wastegate and a blitz boost controller with hks blowoff valve. Its on the stock manifold. Is my turbo faulty? Does it sound like a boost leak?
  23. Ive installed the efr6258 to my stock sr20det. im using the stock manifold. The turbo sits lower and too close to the oil return on the block. I was wondering if i can return the oil to the side of the pan if i buy the greddy oil pan? Would the return be too low? Iany suggestions?
