  1. your inbox is full and i need to talk to u about the 240z you sold

  2. Hi Lex,

I was looking through the wheel thread and noticed your two tone paint job on your project car (from quite a while back!) I was wondering how you went about doing the paint and if you had tips of getting a sharp distinction/smooth paint between different colours?

    Many thanks

    James

    p.s. your inbox is full!

  3. once it gets a drop and spacers on the front, ill put one up haha
  4. So here are a few pics of the couple things going on so far with my 83 maxima rb20det swap LD28 bout to come out size of LD28 vs RB20 preliminary fit The motor basically 'drops' in. In theory, you could redrill the stock mounts and just run it like that, but the shifter sits just a tad too far back so I am having spacers made to get it sitting just where I want it for proper shifter placement. There is a ton of space in the front so you can retain the clutch fan (which I am doing for now) or get nice electric fans, and still have clearance and space for a FMIC. (running stock SMIC just for right now) RB20 transmission is not big so its an easy fit in the tunnel. Stock driveshaft length may be correct as well... spline count is right to fit into RB. Should also be able to keep AC/PS no problem with just some fittings. Downpipe just needs to be changed out for clearance of steering, and bottom mount setup is fine with just a different downpipe. Everything else has ample clearance. Thanks to John and the crew at Garage Zero, we should knock this one out pretty fast
  5. my 2225 is noisy as hell but works great lol i'll probably try some rubber 'spacers' to reduce vibration noise
  6. where in georgia do you live?

  7. i'm not too great with the project threads, but this is my project. i bought it back in july 2008 and it's been in the shop basically since then. Due to bad luck and a shady shop nothing got done and i was able to get most of my money back. Right now I took it to my buds at Garage Zero and we are trying to get it finished up ASAP. This is the car when I got it with my Riverside rims interior is pretty complete. Just need a dash cap really and otherwise it's staying the way it is for now. added the 280zx brake setup motor swap going in the wagon S13 sr20det from JHOT the riversides So far these are the plans, work being done, and mod list: suspension/handling: 280zx front struts and brakes slotted rotors SS brake lines Ground control coilover kit (to be purchased) monroe sensatrac rear shocks (to be purchased) rear 3" lowering blocks and ujoints (to be purchased) RSB (to be purchased) koni NOS adjustable inserts FSB (to be purchased) riverside wheels 15x6.5 +13 and 15x7 +3 195 50 15 fuzion ZRI tires performance: SR20det redtop motorset 5spd transmission XTD stage 3 clutch FMIC setup Greddy oil filter relocation kit 3" turboback exhaust forced performance T2 flange mitsubishi 20g turbo external wastegate with dump pipe @ 14.7PSI Megan heatwrapped topmount manifold MSD inline fuel pump Deatschworks 555cc fuel injectors Blitz SS BoV modified oilpan custom driveshaft aftermarket aluminum radiator Emance tuned ECU N60 MAF on the exterior I am trying to keep it as a sleeper at least power wise. Minus the drop and nice looking wheels it should hopefully hide that it is making a lot of power with stock interior look and feel. August 19, 2009: today I ordered the right bolt pattern exhaust flange so a custom downpipe can be made. Also need to find a slightly narrower radiator which I have sourced (fiero radiator) which I will exchange the other one for at Summit Racing. I need to buy a new front coilover ground control setup to replace what I have on there. I also need to purchase rear sensatrac monroe shocks and some lowering blocks and ujoints. That will deal with the suspension setup. other things to do and to roll and the fenders, work on wiring and get exhaust and driveshaft made. Hopefully the car will be on the road by the end of the month. also need to work on finding a tachometer that's sitting around that I can install relatively inconspicuously.. as well as finding another boost gauge.
  8. i definitely know what to look out for, I just don't know the market as I haven't really been keeping up for. It is the east coast too so the prices are a good bit above west coast. Looks like it needs radiator, headlights, airdam, then paint and body. All that stuff is easy for me to deal with, just dont want to shell out the money for a paint job.. maybe i'll run it ratsun style
  9. "I'm trying to sell my 1973 240z asap due to a new project I'm going to be getting. It has a rebuilt engine with new everything with about 5k miles on it, stage2 cam, twin SU carbs, 2 1/2 exhaust, has a 5 speed tranny out of a 280z along with the RARE locking rear diff, stock 6 spoke z wheels with a nice size lip, NEW tires, OEM carbon fiber hood, has all interior except for the carpet and headliner* New FULL dash cover, body has no rust, spare tire well has a coke can size hole, and the battery tray has a little rust also. The floors have fresh fiberglass laid over the original floors (nice and strong) driver seat has a few rips on the bottom and the pass. side is perfect. The only thing the car needs is a paint job and a radiator* Also comes with the original 4speed tranny and a spare pass. side door* runs and drives like it is, just can't drive far due to the bad radiator... I'm asking a low price of $2500 but cash talks, don't throw me an offer less than 2k though... Ill get some interior pics up asap*" he will trade for my corolla which i want 2k for, but is this Z worth 2k. It does need paint and bod work (which is no biggie for me right now) but still extra $$ you guys think its worth 2k as it sits? here's pics
  10. good luck! I won't sell mine but I have a 77 toyota wagon haha
  11. i think it's a full length anime movie not live action
  12. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-04-26/wangan-midnight-the-movie-to-open-in-japan-this-summer "The official website of Kodansha Comics has announced on Saturday that a theatrical film based on Michiharu Kusunoki's Wangan Midnight street-racing manga will open in Japan this summer. Like the previous television anime and video features, Wangan Midnight the Movie will center on a young man named Akio who salvages "Devil Z," a custom-tuned Datsun Fairlady S30Z car with a supposedly cursed history. The film will star Yuichi Nakamura (Gokusen 2, Princess Princess D, Kamen Rider Hibiki), Ryōko Kobayashi (ZOO, Kamen Rider the First, Gamera 2: Attack of Legion), Kazuki Katou (Jigoku Shoujo, The Prince of Tennis musical, Kamen Rider Kabuto), Megumi Matsumoto (Ace wo Nerae!, Tomie: Beginning, Glass no Kamen), and Yoshihiko Hakamada (The Cat Returns, Iryū - Team Medical Dragon, Q.E.D.). "
