Does any one know of someone who could repair replace the frame rails under the hood and floor pans in my Z? I am in Birmingham, AL and would be willing to travel up to 200 miles. I have the new under the hood frame rails and floor pans from motorsport auto. Thanks, Kevin

This is where I am at now. Right Passenger side floorpan and framerail + under hood frame rail have been removed. I have test fitted the right side under hood frame rail but it seems like it pushes up to far into the firewall. I think the car might need to be pulled out about 1" on the passenger side but need someone that has done this to let me know what they think, If you are local and have done this before I would love for some advice on how to proceed from here, I want it to be done right the 1st time. I have been reading the alteredZ I have tried to contact bad dog z several times to orderparts. He is never available and I leave my name and number but no one ever calls me back. so I purchased floorpans and rails from Motorsport. Rails are gone, I am just worried about lining everything up when I replace them. Replaceing front engine frame rails, Floorpans & Rails

I am thinking about purchasing both of the front frame rails from motorsport. they sell them for $400.00 does anyone have any specs on the dimensions? If anyone has done this before in the birmingham al area please feel free to stop by and give some helpfull advice. Car is on the lift now, motor/trans out, passenger floorpan out. ready to cut some more.

I have a 1973 240z which is in great shape except for the framerails all the way to the radiatator core support. Should I ditch it or fix it?

Hello everyone, I have my car on a lift, at a friends shop who is going to be helping me to replace the floor pan and reinforce / repair the frame rails. The floor pans are a bit rusty and someone b4 me filled up the passenger side with fiberglass to try to seal it up. The pans from http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/240z.html look nice, anyone ever purchase from them? I have a complete running 280zx tubo I am going to swap into the 1973 240z and I plan on makeing this into a daily driver. Reliable A/C Heat, not Leaking, No Gas fumes, fairly quiet interior, etc. Any words of wisdom?
