  1. 1500 eh? Niiccee. I picked up a 76 280z near LA for 2000 a couple years ago and it wasn't as nice as this one you picked up. Interior was pretty destroyed from sittin in that California sun. Made it all the way back to Minnesota though! Can't wait to see the progress!
  2. Yeah I know, quattro never mentioned 15 psi though, thats why I only said 220. But let's say he is around 250, will it run a 12.1? That's really impressive.
  3. Just out of curiousity I looked up a 911 TT's specs and it runs 12.1's in the quarter and does 0-60 in 3.7 at 400 HP and 3300 lb curb weight. Just doesnt seem logical that a 220 HP (give him a lil extra with the standalone) car at 2500 lbs is doin those same numbers ... I dunno I'd need to talk to Hugh I guess.
  4. That's pretty wild that he was keeping up with a 911 TT, that's a lot faster than I expected a stock SR20 to push me. And yeah, you're right about buying the 16G and selling it, I was planning on doing that if I couldn't use it on the SR. I think I'll keep the stock set up for a while if it really is that fast Thanks for the good info quattro!
  5. Yeah I wasn't sure what a 16G was capable of putting out that's why I wanted to ask before I bought. The gt2871R would be the best choice... a thousand bones for it is what kills me Maybe I'll just upgrade to the GTI-R T28 until I can legitimately afford the GT2871R.
  6. Yeah I had the T28 in mind, but from what I read you really don't achieve that much more HP with it. If I'm gonna upgrade I want to upgrade to something that may last me a while... I'm looking to be at around 350-400 rwhp, think the T28 can support that much?
  7. Is it a worthwhile upgrade from the T25? Or is it just as small and not capable of handling more than 250 HP? I ask because a friend of mine has a 16G off his Evo that he said he would sell me for cheap because he upgraded.
  8. Definitely keep it, with that much invested already, selling it, unless you desperately need the cash, I think would be a waste of a lot of hours of hard work. I'm going to be doing an SR swap soon and I know with how much money I'll be investing, it will never be worth selling the car. Not to mention I'm kind of emotionally attached at this point so I really wouldn't be able to sell it.
  9. i realized this thread is kinda old but Mckinney Motorsports is realeasing a mount kit for engine and trans sr20 swap. also will have driveshaft and IC kit too. www.Mckinneymotorsports.com I just emailed them and asked about it a while back and they arent sure on a price yet but would let me know.
  10. yeah i kinda figured, ive been readin this forum just about all day honestly, been on this computer for about 4 hours now readin up on the swap was just hopin for some feedback.
  11. Hey everybody, new to the forum, honestly just found it when i was lookin for info on swappin an sr20 into my 75 280. Been readin all the talk about the different swaps, really informative, so thanks to everybody thats given me so much info without knowing it I've got a line on a company (Mckinneymotorsports.com) thats releasing an engine mount, trans mount, driveshaft, IC setup here in a couple weeks so ive got that handled, unless sr240z can hook me up the only other things im wonderin about are: Powering the ECU? Wiring in the gauges (speedo, tach) should i just buy some aftermarket ones that will fit in the stock locations? or what is required to have the stock ones wired up? lastly, does anyone have any suggestions on a different rear end to drop in?
