Depends on if you go to a big shop or if you can find someone that does it on the side. A big shop will cost you about $500 for a dyno tune and street tune. The guy that did my car, does tunes on the side and he did it for $300.. straight street tune but anytime I want to go to a dyno he said he would go and the tune is a lifetime tune for the car so I won't have to pay again.

Sorry about my brief post earlier, I was in a rush lol. But yea I have a 2000 ws6 with a 6.0 and 228/228 .573/.578 112 cam, longtube headers ls6 intake. But anyways point being I know exactly what you mean by how much a tune helps. Mine wasn't so much in the power but the driveability! Yes I picked up good power but how smooth my car drives now from before is just incredible. Someone else mentioned timing and I wanted to say that I have total timing set at 28 degrees and it comes full in at 2800 rpms, where I believe stock is at 4800 or somewhere around there?!? And my ohh my how that helped out. Good luck bud and I hope you enjoy the car.

I agree, 13.1 is the best place to be at when you are WOT. Maybe have him take another look at it.
