  1. Need a set of front hubs 1974-1978. Let me know if you can help. Thanks
  2. That was entertaining. I assume the track record remains intact?
  3. This story leaves me completely speechless....and angry. http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/local/Devices-that-warn-drivers-of-speed_-red-light-cameras-draw-police-ire-7930619-50074717.html
  4. Needing a LD28 (1979 thru 1983 Maxima Diesel) crank. My buddy Bill Coffey snapped his last week at Robeling Road. He's got another event in less that a month in the Carolina's so any help would be greatly appreciated!
  5. That's a cool look. I'm confused at what the small scoop is in the center of the hood. Just a note for consideration. Unless you have air conditioning, ducting all that hot air across the top of the car really makes it warm inside.
  6. If you duct your hood to evacuate all that hot air from the radiator the last thing that you want to do is hang your carb out of the hood into that heated airstream. That goes for cowl hoods as well.
  7. Yes! The one that I played with at the PRI show worked great. It even had an adjustment to control the effort of input required.
  8. azcarbum had an electric power steering unit for sale awhile back. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=130027 Quite a bit cheaper than that, but when I saw them at the PRI show a couple years ago they were 4K. Brian's (azcarbum) always has nice quality stuff. I would want to do some research on any manufacture. I would want to make sure that any power steering unit was Really reliable.
  9. Chip Foose had one of those old bumper car bodies sitting outside his office door a couple years back. When I asked him about it he indicated that he wanted to mount it on a modified Quad chassis. He did a couple quick sketches and it looked really cool, but his sketches as I remember had more of a slammed look. If you Google "street legal bumper cars" all of the hits seem to indicate that they are using 750cc bike engines in these. Now, with the exception of the silver car that has Show Tubes on it, the rest seem to have single Quad type exhaust. Regardless I think that wheelie bars would be mandatory. With the high CG and the live rear axle I'm sure their a handful to drive. In Florida it seems to me that if it has 4 wheels and you have to straddle it, it can't be licensed. So much for using a Quad.

  13. Great Show! I wish I could have been there to see that. Thanks for sharing.
  14. When I did the restoration I bought a new set just because I wanted the fresh look. I still have the old set on a shelf in the garage. Sorry I don't know what brand they are (or were). But they worked fine and no clearance issues. If you have an interest in them let me know and I'll take some pictures. Rog
  15. Pretty cool story on cars that won't make it to the US...or will they? http://editorial.autos.msn.com/listarticle.aspx?cp-documentid=861639&topart=newcarresearch
  16. Having a couple cars allows the flexibility of your mood that day...lets wait and see. I think this sounds like a great idea and should be alot of fun. I have no-fear that if there's a shot you will capture it. R.
  17. Hi Will, I may just take you up on the invite. Rog
  18. Apparently you don't need one of those fancy trucks for towing the large loads. Study these photo's carefully, there is some engineering involved.
  19. With a slight twist the Tyrrell P34 is always an interesting example in the Aero/Tire discussions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrrell_P34 In Indy and F1 cars the front tires create huge Aero/Drag issues. Neat car! I heard from the fellas that would know, that the braking capabilities of these cars were astonishing.
  20. The factory used a heat shield on the 280zx (I believe) that should work nicely there.
  21. Looks quite functional....but is that a Ford Fiesta he's working on???
  22. Man-o-man-o-man-o-man. I'm sooooo jealous!
