  1. Hi Guys, I had pulled my engine to do some work on it and when I put it back in and attached the battery leads, I started getting this buzzing noise coming from the console area and nothing else seemed to be getting any power. I figured out the buzzing noise was coming from a little brass box in the console area to the left of the fuse panel. From what I can tell it seems like a relay of some sort with three prongs and a fitted plug with 3 wires connected to it, but no part numbers on it. A few specifics: The buzzing is 100% is coming from inside that little box that seems to be a relay. If I unplug that box/relay, the sound immediately stops, but I still have no power to lights/ignition etc If left plugged in, the buzzing noise persists regardless of key position. . Three wires plug into this box/relay but I can't tell where they come from. If anyone knows what might be causing this weird scenario I would really appreciate your help! Thanks, Jon
  2. Hey guys, I have a 5.0 and a t5 on the way and want to do a swap. I see that the laine/motor match mount kit has been discontinued. Does anyone know of any alternatives? Right now the only thing stopping my swap is the lack of mounts and ability to fab my own. If anyone knows a Denver shop that would make one that would also be helpful, or if anyone has any mounts they're willing to sell! Thanks for the help everyone! Kaiser
  3. Hi' I'm looking to buy some laine 240z motor match 302 mounts. Feel free to PM me or email your price to jonrkaiser@gmail.com. Have a whole l24/4 speed drive train and dual webers available for trade. Thanks, Jon
  4. Hello everyone, for the longest time I have dreamed of having a v8 Z and have decided now is finally the time to bite the bullet and do it! One car which I am considering is a 240z that has already been converted to a Chevy 350. The car is very cheap because it has some minor body rust(underbody/frame appears solid still) and the guy who converted it ran out of money before he could finish hooking up some electronics such as the lights(hardware still there, just not wired). However, the one major flaw which I have found in this car is that the current transmission is a powerglide 2 speed. I strongly prefer manuals and would like to eventually be able to switch to something along the lines of a t5 manual. I'm just curious if anyone has any input/advice on doing this switch. Mainly, I am curious if anyone can knows or can help me find specifics as far as the dimensions of a powerglide vs a t5 so that I can figure out if I will need to make modifications such as shifter location, driveshaft length etc. I've spent a good portion of the evening googling/searching to no avail. I know it will be a fairly involved swap as I will need everything from the transmission to even the clutch pedal. I'm just curious if anyone has any input/advice/experience regarding this swap! Thanks so much in advance for any help!
