  1. Sorry to here Keith. Glad you made it home. (Note to self, put trailer hitch on Z for back up tow vehicle.....lol) I know we tried the thicker oil to make it thru the Z nationals even but the bearings where hurt to much. I drove down to Orlando for issues at the house and will help quick get the z running again. Got here at 11pm and worked on Z until 2 am. Getting back on it early this am before the Septic guy and the electrician show up. Yeah have a sh%Ty situation here.....lol
  2. Exactly. Can't stay out of it, can't get in it enough.
  3. Well trip to AMP was a tedious one. On the way lost 2 tires on the trailer. They were 7 years old. Should have replaced before the trip. Only took an hour to get all 4 replaced. Get to the hotel, go thru tech. Sleep, quick is sick. Get up the next morning 5 ish. Head to the track with a caravan of 20 plus Z`s and G`s. It was about a 15 mile and fun roads if your not pulling a trailer. Quick decides not to drive the car because of the engine noises. So he rides ina race car and we take in the sites and sounds of the day. Got bored at 2 loaded up and headed back to Orlando. We took the pan off and removed the bearings. Polished the rod journals and reassembled. He is waiting on gaskets and new oil pump.

  5. Add 2 more to tooquick260, he can afford it.
  6. http://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t85/melbellwood1/2014-10-07%2016.46.50_zpspd9d7bp3.jpg Got mine.
  7. I hope one of those is mine?
  8. Ordered one will update with install.
  9. Had similar issue. Was the fuel system not delivering enough fuel.
  10. Hey, you ready for this weekend. Lots To do. Hope you are not working Saturday? If you get the list done, let's go to the track Saturday night.
  11. Another day at the dyno. Just got reports of a little bigger numbers. Well do tell?
  12. Bearings or detonation. What is the timing?

  14. I think they are in too tooquick260 build here. I will try to find links
  15. All true statements. We put the z32 brakes on the z thinking bigger is better. I did as much research as possible. Did not find any confirmed information that this had been done. We had the full setup from a donor car, tooquick260's brothers. Using the TTT3 rear setup made it easy. Once we installed it along with turbo, 6 speed and a whole lot of other changes, the brakes became back seat problem to other sorting out. I contacted a few of the after market brake companies, Wilwood for one and they could not would not give me any direction. So, I am stuck with it. Driving the car you have to pay attention, normal driving ok but if you have a panic reaction and stab at the brakes they will lock up. You cam modulate and control it toa point. Just a little scary. They feel real good and will stop the car from 120 mph with no fuss. So he is going to swap with a 280zxt booster and m/c. Stay tuned to see what that does. He has another appointment Saturday to get a re-tune since the fuel pump issue.
  16. We put a Z32 m/c , booster out of a 1993 300zx 2+2 non turbo at the same time we used those brakes front n rear. Brake has a highly boosted feel, real touchy feel . Panic stops will lock up the brakes. Switching to the 280zx m/c and booster. the 300zx booster is a 8 in, while the 280zx is a 7. This is tooquick260 build on this site.
  17. Well just had the fuel system supply, pumps returns redone. That took the better part of 2 days. Alex (tooquick260) won't post it but I will. This is his dad, I put the fuel setup in the car, wrong of course. I put the surge tank in where the battery was and thought I plumbed it correctly, but didn't. Removed surge tank, removed low pressure pump that did fill the surge tank. Moved the msd2225 high pressure to the rear. Now the car does not run out of fuel. I have reserved the dyno again next Saturday to get the fine tuning redone since the last tune and money Alex spent was wasted. Live to learn and learn to live. I expect a few more ponies now. Well, I will go back to lurking from afar. Alex and his brother for the past year have said that there was a problem there. HA. .. I have been hot rodding and racing for 32 years what do those young whipper snappers know.
