2. Moser Engineering Mark Williams Enterprises Strange Engineering I am sure there are others; these guys are well known to the drag racing world.
3. Scott, Sounds like something all of us contemplating the LS1 install needs to have. Thanks for taking the time to provide it to us. Please email it to me at epfmotorsports@cox.net Thanks.
4. Jack46, I haven't even thought of how I want to configure the fuel system. I guess I need to start thinking about that along with everything else. Right now I'm just starting the short block; dropped it off at the machine shop last week. I've already got the Q45 rear and 2 sets of halfshafts. I can't imagine putting in a 9"; even though it will get mostly street and drag use, for my needs the car must remain IRS in case I take it to an autocross or road course for a track day. As far as headers, I know someone who makes custom headers as a hobby. I plan to get him to make a set for me once the car is done. With all the research I've done and all the posts on this site about crappy block hugger headers and long tubes scraping the ground I think a good fabricated set of step headers is the way to go with a psi motor. Later
5. Jack46, Let me know how your SC install goes. I'm curious how you mount it and run the intake lines. I'm going to use the Q45 differential setup. I don't expect to have much problems with the rear end other than getting it to hook the tires. Thanks.
6. I plan to add a vortech supercharger to my 240Z powered by a '95 Trans Am LT1 . Which Vortech kit requires the least amount of work and fabrication to install? Is it the F-body LT1 kit, Corvette LT1 kit or should I just buy the head unit and make the piping from scratch? Anyone have pictures of this type of install? Thanks.
7. Another option to using the factory ECU is to purchase an aftermarket fuel injection system. I bought an Accel digital 6 fuel injection(DFI) controller which replaces the factory ECU and wiring harness. These units are getting cheap these days as serious LT1 racers are upgrading to the digital 7 system. This system allows you to adjust the fuel and ignition at all rpms by programming with a laptop. Check them out at the Accel website. Just another option if you have the cash.
8. Hey guy's' I've just pulled the LT1/T56 and wiring out of a firebird for my 240Z conversion. I want to sell off the firebird body asap but don't want to miss pulling any parts I might need for the conversion. Any common mistakes or something I might miss? Do I need the braided clutch line? I'm going to want a/c, i may go with vintage air setup. If I keep the stock setup with GM compressor will I use the firebird a/c hoses? Thanks.
9. For those of you that installed megasquirt, how did you wire the injector 12v power feeds to the db37 connector. Did you use one wire to the pin 28 location and split downstream? If so, what gage? Thanks.
10. I got my pump from Top End Performance. I believe it is a Bosch unit. I'm not sure of the model #. It was on the expensive side($200) but it is extremely quiet and I haven't had any problems with it in 3+ years on my injected car. Just another option.
11. Nhra rules require a helmet for 12.99 and quicker so bring a helmet if you 're in the 12's to be safe.
12. Hey Mas, Do you accept Paypal? I need a set of those. Also, I need 1 more pair of Q45 flanges. Do you know where I might find some? Thanks.
13. Sweet setup, let me know when they are available and how much. So far I have the Q45 R230 and 1 pair of axles. I am planning and collecting parts for a full Hybrid transformation in my 240Z. [/img]
14. Sounds like someone needs to upgrade to an R230. You'll sleep better at night.
15. Someone needs to strech that Lagonda and make it a limo. It should have plenty of power as those came with a V12 and would do around 180mph! They would also drain the account in the late 80's at around $150K.
