  1. The fuse is the right headlight, that fuse is just to control the switch and then it sends the power to the relays. The battery is the power source, yes it's a 72 and yes to the alternator. I'm going to be putting a new fuse block in today so I'll see if i can find the problem.
  2. I have the plug and play harness in there, sorry I didn't really make that clear. I think that the harness is my problem but I'm not sure where to look. Maybe one of the relays went out? I forgot to mention that I have an L28 in the car, so I have the internally regulated alternator on there, I have a feeling the alternator is going out as well because sometimes the rpm drop is minimal like I said and then other times my car will just flat out die.
  3. I apologize if this has already been talked about, I have searched for over an hour now with no luck. I put the H4 headlight upgrade kit in my car and it worked just fine for about a week, well I decided to go on a night drive and I stopped at the gas station when I came back out I started my car, turned the lights on and nothing. I checked my fuse and it had literally blown up, the glass had shattered. I replaced the fuse and they worked fine. The next day I checked all of my wiring and even pulled the connectors apart and put a little bit of solder on the ends of the connectors. That night I turned the lights on before I started the car and they didn't work again. I turned them off, started the car and turned the light switch on and they worked but only the brights. Besides the obvious problem of driving with brights all the time, the hi beam indicator is off and when I flip the Hi-Lo switch the blue light comes on but the lights turn on. Also when the lights are on the RPMs drop about 150-200. Any ideas? I really need to get this resolved ASAP, This is my only car.
  4. Well it turns out it was just water in some part of the electrical system it started right up this morning first try and ran beautifully! I'm glad it was nothing else this is my daily driver right now because my truck is in the shop. sure takes a load off. but now i know that when I clean the engine bay I need to watch the electrical components.
  5. My Z started doing the same thing today, I have a 72 240 with an L28 and 5 speed. I replaced all of my lines and got the gas tank acid bathed not too long ago. My fuel pressure is reading at about 30-35 PSI I tried using another AFM and that did not work. Tomorrow I will be checking to see if it is the ECU and I am also going to be getting new spark plugs. It could also just be the fact that I cleaned the engine bay today because I had oil leaking from the head and water got into my ignition box or coil and just needs to dry out! I sure hope thats what it is, I will let you know tomorrow ASAP!

  7. I got mine from BD I think there good but, don't use the glue that comes with it because the tube I got with the kit didn't stick very well.
  8. Today I found a guy who has a turbo L28 motor I am thinking about getting it but, I don't know what to look for as far as damage and if its (all there). Also I need to what I should set my budget at for it, I have not seen any pictures or anything I hope to go check it out soon. Any help would be appreciated!

  14. True but I'm sure he knows what he is doing where as I don't. And I haven't seen any other way to mount them so I am just going off of what I have seen.
