  1. Since I'm still finishing my projects write up I figured I would post some spoilers to get the thread started. Bought the car about 18 months ago and began my swap. By the time I was done I had tripled my budget and missed some things along the way.
  2. hey guys, looking for a little help here as my car will be off to the tuner next week. Here is a little background, 75 280z automatic swapped to s2 rb25 manual. I ripped out most of the unused wiring and tried to not touch any of the lighting circuits other than tapping into for gauges and such. Now that everything is back together when i turn the key switch to the on position all my lights come on excluding the headlights, even with the light switch off. I have a few wires left over after the swap in the steering column area but i think they are just the A/T kick down and stg lock(whatever that is). Anyone ever encountered this lighting problem? Its my first z and didn't really pay attention to the lighting when i first got it however i would assume it was working correctly before i dissected it.
  3. I have been referring to the wiring diagram. However, when trying to trace from the battery/ alternator back into the firewall I'm getting stuck at the voltage regulator. I'm assuming the fuse box needs a large guage feed wire. But other than that I'm not sure. For what it's worth I'm not using heater or ac and have no need for the shunt.
  4. My first post here, however I have been browsing hybridz for almost a year now. So when I first started my build, 75 280z rb25, I made what I think now was a big mistake. I ripped out all the engine bay plugs and wires I thought I wouldn't need from the passenger side harness. (Shunt, voltage regulator, ac control, ect. Everything but the lights, and wipers). Now all I have left is a handful of white/red stripe and plain white wires going into the firewall. Now I am getting an engine harness made by wiring specialties and a full set of new guages. My question is which wires going through the firewall on the passenger side need constant power? Just want to know how much trouble I'm really in for my mistake.
