  1. I was also considering calling it quits recently, but for financial reasons. It seems like the value of older z cars is skyrocketing. Give it a few more years and I'd imagine it'll be difficult trying to get back into these cars without having to sell a kidney. Or maybe somebody else's Lol.
  2. That was the best part! Who doesn't like pointing out the technical errors about car parts and facts that the first movie was so rampant with? Because of that movie I now know to put loctite on my floor pan bolts before using NOS. Priceless.
  3. Well I have an update. I pulled both of my manifolds and found my intake manifold, exhaust and the exhaust side of the turbo to be mostly saturated with oil, yet the compressor side of the turbo is 100% dry. could it be possible that my turbo is pressurizing the crankcase through its own seals?
  4. well i ran the test after racing an old guy in a beamer and getting a thumbs up. hoping that my recent victory would for some odd reason mean that more things would go in my favor i found my comp numbers to be 120 straight across. 6 cranks wot mind you. that jumped to 150 and even 160 with oil. not too bad but serviceable. i guess im just gonna tear the old broad apart and refresh her and just hash the turbo anyway, no sense in foolin around with chinsey parts on a car built to perform. you wouldnt buy your wife cheap boobs for a performance application would ya? hell no!
  5. so at a stoplight the other day i noticed my car started puffing blue smoke when taking off from a stop or reving the engine. no smoke on hard accel, deccel or cruising. i pulled my pop off valve and found oil all over coming from the pcv, checked it and its functioning. i also noticed oil on the spark plug threads. i just had new valve stem seals put on so those are ruled out. the engine has quite a few miles on it but it just happened so sudden that i figured i would of noticed the problem beginning and becoming worse if the rings were crappin out. so i pulled the air filter and noticed my (i know! you dont have to call me names.) ebay t3/t04, has about 2mm of axial play with only 300 miles on it. thats what i get for buyin cheap. no oil in the compressor side but i havent got to check the exhaust side yet. im still at work right now. i will be doing a comp test tonight but i dont have a leakdown tester to check the oil rings. there is no fuel in my oil and no smoke or air coming from the filler cap. there are so many symptoms. does anybody have any thoughts on this?
  6. i guess i could do that. i just got ahold of lone wolf and they will be able to get me a rail for 100 bucks or for 130 they will add a fp gauge. thanks for the reply!
  7. im sure you all know pallnet is down right now. i tried sending an email to him but still havent heard anything. but im supposed to be hitting the dyno next weekend and i am in desperate need of a fuel rail! anybody? i have cash waitin in paypal 72s30@live.com
  8. well upon further research i found that another member had this problem with stock injectors, matt at diy autotune told him that a single stock l28et injector at full duty cycle will pull 7 amps by itself. according to matt the cure was to run 20 amp fuses in place. i guess ill give it a shot and see what happens.
  9. well it happened again. i recalibrated my ve table and im in the high 11's now under full boost so im excited. still needs some fine tuning here and there but considering how it was running i made a pull to a little over 5k at full boost and the bank 2 fuse blew AGAIN. so i am starting to wonder what could possibly keep doing this. would running stock injectors at the base settings (according to megamanual) and not tuning them cause this issue?
  10. well on my way to work this morning as soon as i got on the highway i blew another fuse on bank 2. i looked further into my injector settings and i had bank 2 characteristics off. so i turned it on and set the settings to exactly what bank 1 was at and drove around tuning for a half hour without any problems so i think ive got it! ive also got my afrs down into the low 12's high 11's under full boost!
  11. hey guys i just got my z goin, ive been rippin up and down the highway tuning it and so far my afr's are staying in the high 12's and low 13's @ wot full boost till 5500rpm. im still getting them lower but today when i did a long pull @ full boost the stock pop off valve opened and then i blew an injector bank fuse. im currently running my injector settings according to the sticky in this forum for stock injectors and v3.57. does the pop off valve have anything to do with the blown fuse or would it be my injector settings? thanks in advance guys!
  12. see those are the settings i have them set to. are you running those settings right now? i thought they had to be tuned further.
  13. well i got ahold of a friend yesterday whos a tuner and hes giving me a deal so im gonna have him tune it. only thin im working on now is tuning my injectors. i couldnt get a change in idle because it turned out my fuel pres reg was shot and running my pressure through the roof while i was attempting to tune the injectors. i can understand how that wouldnt let me hear a difference. but i think the time ive spent trying to get my car setup right with no knowledge of the fpr being bad has burned up my injectors. whats the average setup for pwm current and threshold? i have them as per megamanual now. 30% and 25.6 ms.
  14. i know i shouldnt be moochin but i am willing to pay. i need a decent ve table, afr table and ignition table. my setup is as follows, ms2 v3.57 l28et all stock t3/t04 turbo w/ extrnal wastegate @ 7psi 3 inch downpipe big fmic stock injector stock fpr walbro fuel pump id also like to see what other people are running their ego settings at. any help would be appreciated. cj 72s30@live.com
