  1. SARCASM WOW. The way I see it, if a company is willing to advertise their product to be able to withstand high hp applications, then they must have a at least reasonable amount of confidence in it. Sure, they may not actually be able to work reliably at, or above, the advertised number, but for many of us running well under 500 hp, they'd probably work just fine. Just wanted to put up a link since I know there aren't very many options when it comes to cv kits using brand new parts. I've been browsing my options, so I'm just trying to make it easier for those doing the same.
  2. For anybody in the same boat as me: http://www.driveshaftshop.com/import-axles/datsun/datsun-510-240z-with-r180-differential-108mm-cv-conversion-kit Looks like a pretty stout kit, and compared to the competition it's one of the cheapest kits I've seen. The stub axles are rated to 1000hp so I think most of us would have a hard time snapping/shearing those (not for a lack of trying though). Just figured I'd throw it up here to help anybody out who's been browsing their options.
  3. Thanks Dtsnlvrds. I actually skimmed over that thread before just trying to kill some time, but I didn't really retain any kind of info from it. Looks like the CV kit is pretty much a bolt-on affair. I was just wondering if anybody else has installed the same combo, and if so, was the CV kit worth the price. And sorry for the misleading title guys, but hey, if we can get enough people that want that CV conversion maybe we can try to get a group buy going with Wolf Creek.
  4. Does anybody have any experience using the Wolf Creek CV conversion with an STI R180 LSD? I'm planning on swapping the stock R180 for a Subaru LSD using their CV conversion. It is a little pricy, but it seems to be pretty bulletproof. My main concern is whether or not it's a simple bolt-in application, or if there's any more fabrication that would need to be done. Since it's so expensive, I would probably try to go another route if their kit needs a bunch of extra work.
  5. As for the shop, check out JER Development. The owner, Lihn really knows what he's doing when it comes to JDM swaps. He has a good amount of experience with RB swaps in S30's.
