  1. if it does creep i'll add another precision 46mm on it.
  2. I will also have a set of JCI headers for sale at a great price since I no longer need them on my setup.
  3. My friend and I have started to mock up the turbo. He does all the welding since my welds looks more like popcorn then welds. Down pipe will be routed down the driver side right under the truck manifold. Turbo is a S475 75/83 with a 1.10 AR which should spool pretty fast on this setup. We used truck manifolds and cut the flanges off and welded it to 2.25" stainless bends into a T6 collector. Wastegate is a Precision 46mm and BOV we are using a Tial MVR 44. The power goals right now is right around 600-700 rwhp on E85 on the relatively stock 5.7 LS1. Next motor would be a LQ9 fully built for right around 1000+rwhp on E85 as well. This car will be a strictly E-85 car running 127lb Bosch injectors or ASNU 1650cc w/ dual external walbro 485 pumps. The stock pump will supply a reservoir which will house the dual 485's running at 4bar. For cooling we are using a Griffin radiator mounted a little slanted to fit the turbo. Inter-cooler will utilize either a Bell or Precision Core ( haven't figured out the biggest we can go yet, some suggestions would be greatly appreciated) Car currently has a solid 9" rear with a Tremec TKO w/OD on it. I am converting all the gauges except the speedo to defi units just like the starroad 240z. I will update this as much as possible. Any input or suggestion would be great feedback. Thanks.
  4. So my friend and I started to mock up the kit and we found it is possibly to get at least a 4" downpipe routed through on the driver side next to the steering rack. Will post picture soon.
  5. as of right now I am planning on doing full exhaust, and dumping the waste gate straight down. I might do a cut out to dump straight down but that's if I can't get at least a 3.5" down and to the back.
  6. I am in the process of figuring out the best way to route the downpipe of my LS1 280z. Quick info: 02 GTO 5.7 LS1 BW S475 E-85 setup with twin 485 Sump Pump Tial 50mm BOV Precision PW46 Wastegate Has a 9" Rear on it from a nascar truck 5SP TKO Hoping to make 700+ on E85 and buliding a IRON Block 6.0 on the side and make 1000+ with that later on. I am going to be using the truck manifold and welding a 2.25" vband on each end of it and merging it together with to a T6 flange. I have looked at various projects including SUNNY Z but he is using a custom mount which gives him plenty of room. the closest thing that resembles my build would be MISTAFOSTA turbo build. It seems to be a very tight fit no matter how i orient the truck manifold (aiming up or down). I was planning on going through the driver side with a 3.5" but it would be very close to the steering rod and brake lines. If i went down the passenger side it would be very close to the starter. Am i going to have to settle for a oval type and transtion back to round setup or even worse a 3" downpipe? I definitely do not want to dump it out the hood or to the side. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
  7. hey crapforum, where about in NC are you? i'm starting my LS1 swap soon as well and is in the charlotte area.
  8. This is definitely a great build. a inspiration actually! Would you mind showing me the car if i'm ever in the greenville SC area? or if you ever drive it to the charlotte NC area. i will be sure to source some 240z parts from your site. Thanks.
