Seattlejester, do you have Rallye 3 or 4? I got a set of Rallye 3 but the tail is wrap around... and I want to know if I will good if I switch it to a single bolt in at the stock seatbelt location or if I should do 2 in the hatch

New battery and had alternator tested, all good. For some reason when the battery is plugged in I get 12.5 volts. But when I unplug the battery I get 15 volts from the alternator. Anyone have any idea what is causing this? Since it should be 15 when it's on. 78z with such carbs.

i upgraded my headlight harness on my 280z, it not draws current directly from the battery. afterwards i drove it fine, then i was sitting in it and it died. then it would not turn on. even a push start didn't work. i flicked the headlight switch on and off a few times and it started. drove it back home and it died once again, flicked the switch again, and it started again. even if i unplug the battery the car will still die. but one day i pulled the choke (carbs) and it didnt die once on the drive, and it died earlier that day. any help would be great. i was thinking that i might need to upgrade my distributor, or i have a ground bleeding out??? not sure. any help would be great!

got more work done on my z! first a small pile of parts i have, and my famil has, z parts, dime partsm and vista cruiser parts! tried to work on my turn signals and other electrical, came to a dead end, literally, traced the wire and goes to a pigtail that doesnt plug into anything else and i have nothing to plug into it, great! bought some brake lines and t fittings to custom make a fuel line in my bay. needed to extend my exhaust so fumes didnt get behind my bumper, so i say a y tip at orielly's and bought it haha my dad says it looks like devil horns. also took off my giant horn pad thing, i like it better bare. horn doesnt exist do it doesnt matter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXIKvgr9Iw0

got a good amount done over spring break, and some not so good work... she now runs and i drover her down my road! i have 3 parts i ordered, intake/exhaust gasket, heat wrap, and a new hood. well since you love your oics! suspension settled and this is the only way to fir my jack under, i need to invest in a new one. the damage finally drove it and i need to secure my exhaust higher up... all put together nice and tidy well, kinda. some lights work, thats soon on my list of things to do whale tail is on! jk, just a test fit. what do you guys think?

so got the z running, seats and seatbelts installed, and even drove it a bit. very excited to tune my carbs and get my electrical work done!

Recently swapped from a 4bbl to round top su carbs. I'm pretty positive I have all the linkage right, but it won't get gas. It's not the pump, and my floats appear to give good. The only way I can get gas to the carbs to to pull the linkage that opens the path from the float to the carb. My throttle linkage didn't do this, only if you do them both at the same time with your hands is when it runs. And help or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

my poor car cant wait to work on her over spring break!

spotted this beaut on campus and to the real goody. got a new (30ish year old) whale tail, supposedly bought from jim cook racing new. this will look pretty damn good when its on.

What's worse is I'm away and can't work on my Z. I think I have all the info to get it running when I get a chance. And I'm excited for the whale tail, you don't see many and it will set me apart.
