  2. Changing the bushings is very easy, just be sure you get the right ones. My 76 280z has differnt bushings them a friends 70 240. Both are 4 speeds. BTW, make sure you don't drop the little c-clip. It's hard to find.
  3. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=112581&highlight=tube+rocker&page=2 This thread has a lot of good info. In particular, look at post #10 and #24. #24 describes what Cary - A.K.A. Tube80z did and has a couple of pictures showing the ends of the rockers.
  4. I have an 1100 in 20 gauge - never had a problem. I used to shot trap with it, so it got a fair amount of use. I think its pretty easy to dismantle and clean as well. For the money, I think its a great value. Couple of notes: The 1100 does not have a slide release button on the side of the receiver (like a Browning). When the "load gate" is depressed to insert a shell (from under the gun) it closes the slide. It does not have a magazine block/stop (like a Browning). This didn't matter to me, since I didn't use it for hunting, but it could be useful in the field. I don't know if its the same for the 11-87, but the 1100 has a rubber o-ring around the magazine tube - I don't remember the specific purpose, but I think its part of the gas system. I was always concerned it would fail, so I kept a spare in my bag. Again, I never had a problem with it - just make sure you use a Remington o-ring, not one from a hardware store - allegedly it has a different composition and a hardware store ring won't last. Happy hunting
  5. Early 80's rear drive Maxima's came with a 16 inch compact spare. I remember reading on this Forum that it will clear rear 240sx upgrades.
  6. Too late. I had a call in before a started the thread; a second call asking if it is single or three phase (thanks again Grumpyvette). Didn't matter - already sold. Thanks for the feedback. Mike
  7. Grumpyvette, Good advice - as always. Thank you
  8. This used welder is being sold locally for about $500. I'm not familiar with Linde - Is this a decent welder and is this a good price? Externally, the welder does not look beat up, i.e. paint chips, scratches, dents. It is listed as follows: 250 amp Linde/Ltec ARC/TIG/HELIARC welder brand new, filled 80 CFM argon bottle, extra tungsten and filler rod, aluminum, steel, and stainless. Has high frequency and SOFT START settings for aluminum applications. The TIG pedal has been bebuilt and has a new ground wire and clamp, junction box, New air cooled torch for the machine. Comes with 3 torches, 2 larger water cooled, high and medium, and 1 light duty air cooled. Power supply wite and plug are also new, very low useage on both. Any info would be extremely helpful. I am contacting the seller to see if a local welder supply store maintained and repaired the unit. Thanks, Mike
  9. Glad to here your damage is minimal. The weather is supposed to heat up over the weekend and next week, hopefully that will help dry everyone out. We were lucky. Starting Sunday night, the water wouldn't initially go down when we flushed. Monday morning the town set up portable pumps in low spots all over the area to pump the excess water from the sanitary sewers into the run-off sewers. So we, and most of our immeidate neighbors are ok, but driving to and from work the last two mornings, there are countless houses with First Response, plumbing, and other related trucks out front taking care of basement flooding. Driving to work along the Hudson River (Route 787 if you know the area), the water is very high. I've only seen the water level higher once before, and that was because of spring ice dam issues.
  10. Saw this on Craigslist. It was incorrectly sorting under Albany, NY,,, should be Albany, OR. I e-mailed the seller and he confirmed. http://albany.craigslist.org/tls/299841603.html I don't know the seller, but it seemed like a good price for a tig welder. If the link doesn't work I copy & pasted the info below TIG welder - $380 Reply to: sale-299841603@craigslist.org Date: 2007-03-24, 6:50PM EDT Miller Econo Twin HF, AC DC, Tig or stick welder, 230 v, 56 amps with Tig torch, argon regulator.
  11. I don't think those are CCWs. Its driving me crazy - but I can't remember the wheel manufacturer. Hopefully John or someone else from New Hampshire will chime in. I agree with Roostmonkey. His current car is gorgeous.
  12. Without hesitation I say Masters Degree. It's not necessarily going to open doors for you, but it will keep them from slamming in your face. Get the MBA or a masters in engineering and its hard to go wrong. Don't rule out getting an engineering job where the company pays for grad school.
  13. I'm familiar with the this thread. I saw 2 potential cons in the Outlaw vs Wilwood thread. One was about an aleged Eric Messley's opinion which John Coffey countered, and the other has to do with dirt track racing calipers flexibility, not the 2800 or 4000 calipers. Here is a John Coffey quote from that thread: "I had no problems with the Outlaw 2800s that were on the ROD and the braking was as good as 275/45-16 Hoosiers can give. Erik came around after he drove the car a few times. The older more open backed circle track racing Outlaws are very flexible but the 2800s are designed for us road racing guys." So what are the cons? I'm not trying to be difficult; I'm considering the Outlaw set up when it comes time to upgrade my brakes. Is there any tech to back this statement up?
