  1. I got to ride one of the new BMW S1000RR's!!!!! So amazing! So much different that the Japanese stuff that I am used to. I wonder how I could justify buying one..... hmmmm
  2. "if you come pick up the car you can have it for free" Damn!!!! Someone needs to jump on it!!!
  3. Cannot wait to finish the Datsun!

  4. I bought new suspension from JohnC at Beta with my monies!!!!
  5. Damn it. I will be back in TN by then. Lame Be sure to post some pics if you guys do go!!!
  6. HA! He looks like a less cool Billy Idol. Well I think I have decided on an Aprilia SR50 for Ma. I just need to mount a basket on it and she will be set!
  7. Yeah Ive read a bit about the cheap auto parts store stuff, havent heard much good about it. Definitely going to do some research for the good stuff.
  8. Actually it wasnt bad with a sandblaster. I just wish I had a bigger compressor, but I am borrowing the compressor and the blaster for FREE, so I cannot complain too much. I hope to keep the car around for a long time, so I want to do this right. When I get the floor pans finished and the motor in, she will be my daily driver. I think I am going to do truck bedliner. I think that will be the most durable for the long haul. Any thoughts on truck bedliner? Thank you all for your input, keep it coming!
  9. Well gentlemen, you confirmed my suspicions. My mom and I decided that a scooter would be best. An old Honda Express or something similar. My parents are buying an RV soon and she wants something to run around on. A little pink scooter with baskets will be perfect. Thank you all for your input!!!
  10. I was thinking about buying one that a friend has for sale, a 1975 for $1300. It runs and drives pretty well. Needs a bit of mechanical and body work. I was thinking about doing a short restoration and giving it to my parents, sort of as a "thank you for putting me through college" My mom likes the smaller sporty cars. When I metioned the Midget, she said that she had always wanted one. She said that her uncle had one or something.... I know she wants another Z4, but I cant afford one of those. I want something that I can build that wont give them a lot of problems. Something fun as a weekend warrior. I thought about a Z but my mom LOVES convertibles. 1975 is the California cutoff for smog vehicles, correct? That way they wouldnt have to worry about that lame stuff. Anyone ever have one or have any experience with them? Any input would be appriciated.
  11. Why am I stripping it? I dont know how I got started on that, I borrowed a sandblaster and started blasting everything.... So I am thinking that paint would look better, but would chip and have to be repaired more often than undercoating. I am not worried about weight, mostly longevity. I was just going to put undercoating back on, but some friends suggested paint instead...
  12. I am in the process of stripping the undercoating out of the wheel wells, and I was wondering what you guys put back in there? I am going more for function over form. So the question.... Re-undercoat or paint?
  13. DRZ400SM!!!! Solid motors, cheap on gas, and when you (or your buddy) wrecks, its is super cheap and easy to fix. I love mine, although it hasnt been getting much ride time since I got my 09 ZX6R.... I agree with the others about the SV. I have one as well, and know many many other people that love theirs. A very good overall bike, especially for the price.
  14. Its too bad you dont live near Knoxville. I got mine done for $600 for both sides. Flat pans and new beefy frame rails. Sweet deal. A low cut shirt and tight jeans go a long way.....
