  1. I have had my Cam profiled with it returning the below. It will be used in mostly a street car, with 3x40dcoe - looking for Drive-ability with some power Can someone help me decipher this? A comparable cam to the MSA Schinider S1, S2, S3 or something, power range, engine characteristics? Thanks HP_SCAN_0009 (1).pdf

  3. So it is engine build time I have a L28 with 3 x 40 DCOE, and will be rebuilding/refurbishing the engine. What type of Cam grind should i be looking at? I was thinking of getting a MSA Cam Kit, but thought i may as well just regrind what i have. General Street use, not racing. Cheers!
  4. Hi Guys, a cross post from the L6 page. So i have started the work on the engine, and after much deliberation, i may have the budget to guy a new set of webers! The problem is, what size do i go! As i have been researching, there seems to be staunch support on both side, and thought i would ask for some user opinions. Also what size header do people go? keep it stock or go 2.5" what is a reputable header as well? My car will rarely see a track, and will mostly be used as a casual cruiser. So leaning towards 40's. But as i said, is this the way you guys recon i should be going?! Thanks for your help guys!

  6. Awesome, i will look into some local people along with overseas. I think a good starting point will be to open it up, and see what i am working with before i start looking at parts.
  7. Awesome, cheers for the local contact xnke, always halpful having somewhere local.
  8. Awesome Write up Chickenman, Thanks a bunch. Valuable info, and appreciate the info on the rockers. That is my concern, the availability of parts isn't so much an issue, its that quality i am unsure of, and prices vary so much from different suppliers. Appreciate anything you have to add, and will continue to do my research!
  9. So i had a discussion that didnt return much info so thought i would try in the L6 area. I am going to be doing a rebuild on a L28 for street use. I have an L28 F54, P90a Head with solid lifters and running 3x40dcoe. I am after some advise on parts. Flat top pistons, valve train, timing gear, a mild cam that will help the webers, and anything else that should be replaced at the same time. I am fairly happy with stock parts if they will suit. I see websites like zcardepot offer alot of parts but unsure on quality. What compression should i be aiming for for a NA build? Realy appreciate the input or direction, or people that have had builds similar to mine. Cheers, Jason (Photos of my progress/rebuild)
  10. I think mine has solid lifter, when i hsd the valve cover off i remember solid lifters. Any reputable parts suppliers? Seems like some big price variances as i look around for parts.
  11. Hi all, Im fairly new when it comes to engine work so wanted to get some opinions. I am building a L28 street 240z. I have a F54 Block, P90a Head with 3x40dcoe. I am looking at a rebuild in the very neer future and wondering what i should defiantly replace, and what still would have life in it. I am looking at a faily stock(ish) build, but a setup that wont restrict the webers at all so a cam that would suit. I was thinking a MSA stage 2 cam? Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. Im from NZ so parts will be comi g from the US most likely. Cheers, Jason
