  1. I read the whole thread. You should read the whole post. Just to be clear, the seats KevvinG is asking about with the link to an ebay ad and wanted to know about the quality of these particular seats. I have seen and sat in these particular brand and style, and they are complete crap. For your safety, stay away from these things. BJSZED was referring to an old writeup, which were the Cobra seats. These are the seats I like. The ones in the link above are knockoffs of this seat and should not be compared to in the same way.
  2. The seats BJSZED are referring to are the Cobra get seats. Those seats are very well built, but depending on your size you may or may not like them. If you are in Southern California you can see them in person at Sube sports in Huntington Beach CA. These particular seats are a horrible knockoff and I recommend you stay away, no matter how tempting the price. I saw a set in person, the whole thing is made of poor thin foam with a very weak wire frame. Definitely made in China and would probably not last too long in a car. I would be heavily concerned about the safety of this product during a crash. If you do go with a set, just make sure they are the real Cobra brand. Hope this helps.
  3. I can assure you that those are fake seats.
  4. In regards to the original post, I have personally seen and sat in the seats. If you are a bid guy, 36 waist and up, do not bother with these seats as you will not fit them. When you first look at them they actually look good, but take a closer look and you have some issues. The biggest issue I had was that the foam on the seats were very thin, compressed very easily and did not really hold for. It seemed dangerous how thin the foam was. In little air grommets are all over the seat and are very very thin. There is no real guide for the headrest, you just sit them in place and hope they do not move around too much. The seat itself almost seems paper thin. i would highly suggest you avoid them. in regards to the Cobra GT3 seats, they are great seats, but anyone above a 36" waste will have a hard time. Those of you in the United States, specifically Southern California, check out Sube Sports in Huntington Beach. They offer and ship these seats and have a lot of different types in their showroom you can check out. They are mainly a supplier for race teams but have excellent customer service for retail.
  5. Didn't OS Giken make a limited run for almost $20k a piece?
