  1. Hey guys let me give you a update on this car. So i went to see the vehicle in person and the owner wasnt there to talk to so i took the pictures you see and i talked to the wife and she gave me the history and story of the car. I got a hold of the owner and he instantly offered the car for $500 and i was ready to buy it right there so i asked him what are all the parts i expect to get with the deal because a lot of parts were missing and i didnt see them in the garage but i did see patch panels like all floor board and rear hatch repair panels so i wanted to make sure i was getting those and the interior. So the guy gets back to me and tells me i dont get the hood and the front windshield which is on the car as i saw it. so i asked for those parts to be included and he let me know he could include the windshield but i would have to pay $1000. He started to rub me the wrong way so i walked from the deal.

Awesome find good luck with it. keep posting please
  3. Ive welded in the past i dont own the equipment but i have access. I just want to know if it is saveable i thought the front frame under the fender on driver side was pretty bad. I know all the other areas there are panels available. The guy has floor panels and hatch sill plate
  4. Hi fellow Z enthusiasts . I have the chance of purchasing a 1972 240z for $1000. Here is the condition i need to know if its really worth even trying to bring this back to life.
  5. Round 2- 1976 280Z

Congratulations on all the new comers to the family. Your purchase story is very close to my experience when getting my first Z and then almost immediately my second Z. keep posting

  8. New Owner 1974 260z

I'm sorry but you started your first sentence with "i've always liked the classic look of the Z". Well you bought a highly modified almost porsche like Z. Nice vehicle but far from classic. It does look like a very nice condition vehicle so congrats and welcome
  9. congrats on the purchase and good luck. I too also just purchased my 1977 280z as far as i have gotten is taking the bumpers off. Hope you get further then me
  10. i had first dibs on a 83 280zx in texas a week ago whole car for $350 priced out it would cost me $1000 to $1500 to get it home to New York i ended up passing on it. I'm still not 100% what engine route i'm going.

  12. Another Dash Restoration

looks awesome can't wait to do mine in the summer, so glad the owner before me gave me the original dash so i can remove the plastic one.
  13. 280z Body Kit

get rid of the real bumper and rear wing and newer wheels to fit the wheel wells better maybe lower vehicle. i really can't believe they kept the rear bumper on. This was the cool look for late 70's early 80's
  14. New 280z owner with a question

i drove down to Atlanta to pick up the car. It has Alabama plates on it and was last on the road in 2014. The vehicle has been painted i have no idea when. I was looking to obviously do some large flares and lower the vehicle. I would be doing a engine swap either a L28ET or a Nissan RB. i'm not in a hurry to do this project, I'm 40 years old and plan on this being my last project the one that stays in my garage til i pass. It took me 10 years to pull the trigger on the Z since my other option was the the FD RX7. I went with the Z cause it was a lower starting price than any RX7 i have seen and i felt it also took care of my 70's classic car that i was tossed up on in and out of that 10 year span. (i flirted with 70-74 camaro and firebird). I had own a 73 Firebird when i was 18 and if I had kept that like i should we probably wouldn't be having this conversation. But i do love the japanese cars. i was in high school during the great japan car years of 90-94. Anyway i was looking at two Z cars at the time of purchase one a 72 240z that had been stripped down to no interior floor boards cut out ready for new ones to be welded in this is the one i wanted it was also less money and 80 miles from me the guy didn't respond to my emails and text. so the 77 280z guy responded right away and planned to go see it the next weekend once i got there i just wanted the car so i over looked my feelings cutting it up and brought it home obviously paid more for it then the 72. once i had it home didn't the guy with the 72 text me to tell me his other deal fell through so for the hell of it i went and looked at it. i wanted to buy it so bad i couldn't get the wife to buy into my vision cause i just picked one up that was complete and why have two sitting in the garage. basically she didn't understand and i missed out on the vehicle i didn't mind cutting up it was most of the way there already. so i'm thinking i need to keep a eye out for a different Z
