Hello Clocker, I'm hoping you get this message... it's been a while since you posted about your AC conversion. I'm curious to know if you considered the 3rd gen Miata HVAC unit rather than the 2nd Gen? I'm looking into this for my brother's car. We are considering retrofitting the 3rd gen in there and hoping to keep his existing dash. Did you try fitting the factory dash with your setup? And if so, did it still fit?
