    well i haven't really TEMPERED with someone elses valve cover before like make them all smooth i HAVE seen that done before however the job wasnt that great on the ones i saw mostly because they were home custom made with hand tools. i use big ol machines for my parts. i guess i could TRY it out on yours if that's something you want to do. however i would not be held responsable if you are not 100% satisfied with the shaving of letters. as it would be my first go. i can tell you it would come out looking great and shiny. but its really up to you as i can DO the work but it woul dbe my first go. after this. i woul dhave enough experience doing it to say i can do a fair job :) im the kinda guy that it takes ONCE to learn to do something right. id give it a go for $110 POLISHED results

    you could also try the tps mine gave me problems for a while, and its a cheap fix

    what works easiest for me is just a standard floor jack and a small piece of 2x4 so it doesnt put as much pressure in one spot, jacked up all different points of my car and this has really helped, i kno its a bit redneck but it works.

    semi gloss silver, it sounds weird but looks really good against pretty much any color

    with the stock turbo we have you can do a t3/t3 hybrid, i think its good for a little over 20psi there should be a thread on here about it already, im not sure but theres one on here or on zdriver.com

    backfire usually comes from either leaning out or running too rich, but yea open exhaust (meaning no back pressure) is bad for an N/A car, but if your turbo no problems

    challenger's right polishing the are a pain and a half, im new to nissans but have polished alot of other valve covers trying to hustle up money for my zx, and it works cuz these honda and dsm guys pay pretty good money to get a lil bling on there sh*t lol, they might be mad if they knew they were funding a nissan build lol

    got my first z about 6 months ago, wish i had some pics of it uploaded so i could share but when i first got it wow wat a turd, but i drive it now i love it lol
