I think SDS is a bit outdated for this motor. IT works and works decent but its pretty old school EFI I think its got like 6x6 fuel maps . ECU masters, Haltech and megasquirt are all good choices. Keep up the good work though
It's a 20 year old SDS set up but the motor is older than that so we'll see. I'm going to run it for now to get it on the road. Maybe in the future I'll switch it out to something more updated with e85, launch control, etc.

I just ran across your youtube channel, good stuff. It's amazing these cars seem like they can fit any motor. I'm looking forward to the progress on it.

Thanks Kevin! It's been a long road that hopefully I'm closer to the end.
The shifter fits great however I do need to follow up with them to see why the shifting is so sloppy. I think I'm missing something.
I'm running an old SDS engine mgt system that was used on my old L28et. I need to call SDS to see about getting a new wiring harness. If it's an easy swap I'll stick with it but if it requires a lot of hacking I'll go with something more modern. That's the final piece of the puzzle to solve then it's off to tuning.

Thanks for all your work making this happen arif. If the price to ship is going to run over what the original price is I have no problem making that right. Can't wait to get mine!
Equizyme unfortunately everyone pulled out of the buy. I refunded everyone's money last week. If you haven't received yours let me know.

I will be going to place the order for the brackets this week. Due to the increase in the cost to make these brackets it is the equal to what I'm charging so If you would like a refund send me a message with your paypal address.
-
Update #2: The cost to machine the brackets have gone up 40% since the last time I ordered them. I'm confirming that it's the best price he can give me and I also have a friend with a CNC that I'm reaching out to. I'm not interested in raising the prices to buyers. Just wanted to keep everyone in the loop.
-
First update: I called the machine shop this morning and the owner is in Germany until May 7th. I'll send the order in when he gets back so for those that still want to order you've got a little more time.

I'm running a group by on the bracket for the Z32 calipers which I think are the same as the GTR. If you have the measurements I can confirm with my set up. Here's the link:

You're right about the wilwoods, from anywhere else though the prices were around 600 for hats and discs and 400 for just discs.
Arif It may be worth sending some pm's to the people who haven't paid in case they haven't checked this thread in a while.
I sent a message to everyone a week and a half ago. Also posted on the FB DPAN page. If we don't get additional orders I'll send the ones I have into the fabricator so you guys aren't waiting too long.

I agree. It's a good authentic show. I wonder if they will do any motor swaps or just pure jdm restorations.
-
Alright guys we're stuck at 5 paid orders. We need 8 before I can submit the order! Share with your friends or anyone else interested in a set. Thanks

Alright here are those that I've received payments from so far:
1. TRD_240Z
2. datsun13oy
3. Equizyme
4. Tim.d
5. William Streety

7. Dakotaxpro

I don't think he'll go through with the 5 inches shorter wheelbase idea. My guess is he will swap the motor and trans then go with TTT or AZC suspension. There are so many better options than moving the front wheels back 5 inches. Here's a quick video of a guy that swapped a v10 into an e30 without the shenanigans he's proposing:

I’m interested in jumping in on this. I have the 5 lug hubs from T3, what are folks doing with this combo? Still going with odessey?
I think JoeK used a 5 lug hub with the brackets. He posted pictures of his set up a couple pages back. Since we have 8 people signed up I'll start taking payments. My paypal is arifsealey@hotmail.com and please make sure you put your screen name on the payment and send as a gift or add the 3% paypal charges. I'll update the post to ensure everyone is counted. Thanks

So from some digging it looks like r33 4 lug rotors will fit with no modification. Either way count me in for a set.
If that's true then it makes it a lot easier set up. You're added to the list.

5 more slots to go!

I missed the first one so want to jump on this buy, but has anyone machined the Odyssey rotors to 5x114.3? Wondering if the existing holes interfere.
I have them installed on my Z with the rotors. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the rotor by itself. Here are a few pictures of it installed.

Has anyone attempted to install these on a S130?
I haven't tested on a S130. You want to be the first to give it a shot?

If you have any questions in regards to carbon construction, and safety, don't hesitate to ask. I'll gladly share anything that I know.
How would you construct a carbon fiber door without a cage in the car? Consider that it's a street car with some track time.

I've seen this car develop over the years at each Nismo Fiesta and all I can say is it is even more awesome in person. I can't wait to see it next month.

@Arif Yeah impact was definitely a thought in mind. A cage is being tossed in the brainstorm bubble but I also have another idea in mind that may or may not work. I've never seen anybody do it yet so I'll be making a future post about it soon on my experience. Don't want to say anything JUST yet because it's gonna get a lot of criticism because it's a pretty new idea.
After reading rturbo 930's response I want to look at pulling the skin off my doors and then possibly overlay cf onto the frame. I'm not sure if that would work but it does have me thinking about how to make it work. I'd be interested to see what you come up with as well.

@Arif Very nice! I've only seen your car through retro-specs pics. Was very jelly that you got yours first before me ahaha. It used to have a sunroof but then I just had the a roof made of CF instead of just plugging it with a metal sheet and risk warpage. I'll make another video soon of better detail.
Ah ok that makes sense on the roof. Are you concerned with the lack of side impact protection of the CF doors?
retrospec dash?
